British Basketball’s Leicester Tigers Gains Two Multi-Million Sponsors

December 15, 2011

Britain’s longest-running professional basketball club, symptoms Leicester Tigers, has announced a new sponsorship deal with two multi-million pound Leicester-based companies, Anand International and Daewoo International (Europe).

Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders held a Press Conference to formerly announce the one-year support package, which has been instrumental in keeping Great Britain captain Andrew Sullivan at the club for the rest of the British Basketball League season.

Vic Sethi of Anand International and Daewoo International (Europe) said: “I am a firm believer that it is every individual’s duty to give back to the community by any method one can. I along with my family had decided to support and sponsor the Leicester Riders basketball team as it attracts people of every age to watch and mix with the players and management after the game.

“There is a fantastic atmosphere at the club, where people of different communities get together and mix. Leicester is my home town and I love to support the amenities around us which involve youth and get communities together.”

Riders’ General Manager Russell Levenston, head coach Rob Paternostro and Andrew Sullivan made the announcement during a press conference hosted by Pukaar News, on December 1 at Phoenix Square, Leicester.

Riders’ General Manager Russell Levenston added: “I would like to thank Vic Sethi for all his support and I really look forward to working with him.

“Without support from companies like Anand Daewoo International we would not have been able to bring in the GB captain Drew Sullivan. It is an exciting time for Leicester Riders basketball at the moment.”
