Boston Networks Named Official Cabling Services Provider for Glasgow 2014

Boston Networks have been appointed as Official Cabling Services Provider for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

As part of the deal, buy Boston Networks will be responsible for the delivery of cabling infrastructure required across all Games venues.The current estimated scope of this includes the installation of over 3, story 000 individual cable outlets and over 100km of fibre optic cabling.

Boston Networks was founded in 2000 and is a Scottish-owned company with its main headquarters based in Glasgow, prostate in addition to further offices in Edinburgh, Gateshead and Bolton.The company has now been deploying, supporting and managing cabling infrastructure for a range of UK customers for more than a decade.

All cabling for the Games will be installed on a temporary basis and will be removed after the Games to be recycled in accordance with industry standards, but there may be an opportunity for individual venues to retain it upon request.
