Boost Mobile Agrees World Series of Fighting Partnership

Boost Mobile, ed a leader in the no-contract wireless industry has announced a partnership with the World Series of Fighting (WSOF), sale a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight promotion.

As part of the partnership, anesthetist Boost Mobile is unveiling the “Cage Rattler of the Night” award, a first-ever fan-voted award at WSOF 4 taking place on Aug. 10 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., and airing live on the NBC Sports Network at 7:30 p.m. PDT.

“The WSOF partnership is a great way to showcase Boost’s willingness to go to the mat to give MMA fans a voice in their sport,” said Steve Gaffney, vice president-Corporate Marketing, Boost Mobile. “We are looking forward to WSOF 4 to unveil the Boost Mobile Cage Rattler of the Night award, which will be determined by the fans. Building on Boost’s commitment to consumers, with its $55 Android Monthly Unlimited no-contract plans, the fighter receiving the most votes will receive a $5,500 cash prize.”

During the fight, fans will be asked to tweet the fighter’s last name, with the hash tags #RATTLETHECAGE #WSOF4, for the fighter who demonstrates the most heart or who came out of nowhere for a comeback knockout – whatever it means to “rattle the cage” in the minds of fight fans everywhere.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Boost Mobile,” said Keith Evans, chief operating officer, WSOF. “The ability to integrate with our fans watching the fights on the NBC Sports Network and then having them vote to determine what fights they like is an invaluable asset as we both increase our footprint in our respective businesses.”

In addition, Boost will also be executing local marketing efforts leading up to each fight, including radio remotes with fighter appearances and ticket giveaways at Boost retail stores, on-site activities at each fight and social media content featuring behind-the-scenes video and interviews of fighters.
