Boost for Charlton Athletic Fans as The Valley Becomes Protected as an ACV

Fans of Championship football club Charlton Athletic have received a timely boost with the news that The Valley will be listed as an Asset of Community Value (ACV).
Charlton Athletic Supporters’ Trust (CAS) applied to Greenwich Council who approved the notion, vcialis 40mg meaning the group must be notified if the ground is to be sold.
CAS Trust Chairman Barnie Razzell said: “An ACV recognises how important The Valley is to the local community.
“It is our hope that we will not ever have to use the legislation. Fans will now have a right in law to participate in any discussion about the future of football at The Valley.”
Charlton played at The Valley from 1919 to 1985, link before financial struggles saw the south east Londoners ground share with rivals Crystal Palace.
The Addicks have also played home games at West Ham’s Upton Park before moving back to The Valley in December 1992.
Razzell added: “The fans, capsule | the club and the council all agree on the importance of The Valley.
“In football as in life, nothing is forever but this great news means that we, the fans, can be part of any discussion about the future of Charlton Athletic.”
