Blue Cross & Shield Partner with Charlotte Motor Speedway

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) and Charlotte Motor Speedway announced a partnership on Wednesday. 

The effort begins with the Oct. 10 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, which will be entitled the Drive for the Cure 300 Presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Considered one of the premier events on the NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule, the Drive for the Cure 300 will air nationally on ESPN2 at 7:30 p.m. BCBSNC has agreed to a three-year sponsorship of the race.

We are eager to get to work raising awareness about breast cancer and creating an unforgettable race day experience for fans.”

The announcement was made during a press event at the speedway where officials were joined by up to 100 breast cancer survivors to paint the pit road wall pink to kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Our partnership with Charlotte Motor Speedway to raise awareness of breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment is an important part of our commitment to improving the health and well-being of our customers and the communities where we live.”
