June 7, 2013
Bristol City Football Club will continue to have the Blackthorn cider logo on their kits after the club’s main sponsor signed a new agreement for the 2013-14 season.
Blackthorn’s logo will remain on the front of the home, away and goalkeeper jerseys in the new season, as well as training wear and merchandise for the first time.
The cider will also receive brand exposure with their name remaining on the roof of the Atyeo Stand and Blackthorn have decided to donate the junior kit sponsorship to the Bristol City Community Trust, whose logo will appear on the youth strips.
City commercial director Kevin Smith said: “We are delighted to continue our excellent partnership with Blackthorn as main club sponsor for the coming season. Both parties share a very similar ethos with regards re-engaging with supporters.
“Working closely with the team at Blackthorn, we have a number of exciting developments planned for 2013/14 to further improve the matchday experience here at Ashton Gate.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Blackthorn for their continued support and we look forward to working with the team again next season.”
Blackthorn marketing manager added: “We are delighted to announce Blackthorn will once again be the main club sponsor of Bristol City FC for the 2013/14 season.
“Blackthorn is a true West Country cider and we are very proud of our long running partnership with the best supported football club in the South West.
“We have exciting plans for Blackthorn next season and are working closely with the team to re-engage the brand with supporters of this famous club.
