Bhattacharya Appointed as PSA Representative to Boost Squash in Asia

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has appointed five-time Indian squash champion Ritwick Bhattacharya to the role of PSA South East Asia Representative in an effort to the PSA in the region.

The former world 38 from Mumbai will liaise with excisting PSA World Tour events in the region, attract new events to India and the region and ensure that the PSA requiremenets are met across events, press, media and player welfare.

PSA CEO Alex Gough said: “We are delighted to announce Ritwik in this new position within PSA. South East Asia is a very important one to the sport and we are delighted to have someone with such a wealth of experience in the squash world representing us here.

“Ritwik’s initial focus will be in India where we hope to see great strides in a market where there is such great potential in squash.”

Bhattacharya was a PSA member from 1999 to 2011 and won eight Tour titles from 12 final appearances.
