Berlin & Warsaw Selected to Host 2015 UEFA Finals
May 23, 2013
Berlin has been named the host city of the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final and Warsaw the host of the UEFA Europa League final.
UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino said: “Two beautiful venues for our finals for 2015.”
The 2015 Champions League final will take place in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, which has previously held the 1936 Olympic Games and 2006 World Cup final. It will be the city’s first European football final.
Germany also hosted last year’s Champions League final at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The 2015 Europa League final will be played in the refurbished National Stadium in Warsaw, which held the opening match of Euro 2012 between Poland and Greece. The event will be the first major European final to be held in Poland.
