BBL Names SportsDirect as Official Retailer

The British Basketball League (BBL) have announced SportsDirect as their official retailer.

SportsDirect will begin retailing Official Spalding BBL Apparel from November this year with all club vests available for purchase through the SportsDirect website with plans to extend this to selected stores in the New Year. 

BBL’s Commercial Director David Leyden Dunbar commented: “The appointment of an Official Retailer was always going to be a natural next step on from the unification of the League’s Apparel provision under the Spalding brand. Working with Spalding we’ve been able to create a far more cohesive look and style across the whole league and forging a partnership with SportsDirect.com will allow us to reach an entirely new audience with our products. It’s a huge step forward for the League and my view was always that if we were going to do it the important thing was to work hand in hand with the biggest and best UK brand.”
