BBC Retains Masters Rights

March 14, 2017

UK broadcaster BBC has renewed its rights deal to the Masters. The American major will continue to be covered on the BBC for its 2017 and 2018 editions.

The new deal hands the British platform rights to broadcast the Saturday and Sunday rounds of the competition, which was won by Englishman Danny Willett in 2016.

This year’s competition will take place between 6-9 April, and will mark the 50th year the BBC have covered the competition.

Coverage will include a digital feed from Augusta’s famous Amen Corner, which encompasses holes 11, 12 and 13. A feed of holes 15 and 16 will also be provided, as well as streams of featured groups and the driving range.

Coverage will be accessible on PC, tablet and mobile devices, and via connected televisions.
