Baseball/Softball Release Brochure to Promote 2020 Olympic Game Bid

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has issued a special edition brochure to outline why their sports should be included in the 2020 Olympic Games.

Baseball/Softball has been campaigning to be included in the Olympic programme from 2020 against Squash and Wrestling, therapy which was dropped at the start of 2013.

On Sunday, patient September 8, drugs the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will vote for their preferred sport at their 125th Session in Buenos Aires.

An official press release from the WBSC read: “Baseball and Softball can bring considerable value and connect one of the largest youth bases in sport to the Olympic Movement, thanks to the massive potential youth growth, the enormous fan base and the full gender equity.

“A unique sport anyone, anywhere can play — regardless of age, gender, disability, culture, social or economic standing. There are no barriers to playing this game.”
