Barcelona post record profits

Barcelona have reported record revenues of €679 million for the 2015-16 season – well on its way to its target of reaching the €1 billion mark by 2021.

The figure was higher than expected, Barcelona had estimated that they would bring in €633m. It recorded a net profit of €29m after tax.

Barcelona have been steadily increasing revenues – they recorded €608m for the 2014-15 financial year, up 15% from €530m in the previous campaign.

It’s positive news for the club as they undergo a costly redevelopment of the iconic Camp Nou stadium.
