Dutch Eredivise soccer club AZ Alkmaar has announced a new four-year partnership with sportswear brand Macron.

Under the terms of the agreement, the club will switch from local kit supplier Quick to the Italian apparel company in a deal that will run until the end of the 2014/15 season.

Macron will supply AZ Alkmaar with a range of competition, training and leisure wear for the duration of the contract.

AZ Alkmaar’s director of football affairs, Earnest Stewart stated: “We are very happy with the four-year partnership with Macron. AZ is committed to creating a strong bond with regional businesses, but here we are showing that we’re also the interest of international companies. Macron is a fantastic company and I am confident that this relationship will provide many beautiful opportunities.”

Gianluca Pavanello, Macron chief executive, added: “Macron is a European company that wants to expand. We’re proud to enter the Dutch market by sponsoring AZ, a great soccer club with whom we share the same values: passion for sports and a focus on quality.”
