The National Rugby League (NRL) have taken ownership of the Gold Coast Titans after the club was placed into voluntary administration.
The club were unable to meet their financial obligations which resulted in the governing body stepping in.

The top of Pakistani cricket has been trown into further disarray after a court ordered elections for the board chairman to be held in two weeks.
The Islamabad High Court’s ruling appears to have halted moves by a new Interim Management Committee (IMC) to delay the choice of a permanent chairman for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The PCB has been in turmoil since May, after the islamabad court removed former chairman Zaka Ashraf for the “dubious” process by which he earned the position.
The journalist Najam Sethi was named interim chairman in June by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, before a court ordered elections to be held on October 18 a month later.
The Prime Minister appointed the IMC to take over the day-to-day running of the IMC last week in a bid to steady the ship. The IMC wanted to delay elections to allow various local cricket associations to settle outstanding legal issues. However, High Court judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan to move ahead with elections today.
PCB legal advisor Taffazul Rizvi has said the elections are to be held by November 2.
Broadcaster Canal Plus Afrique have agreed a major deal with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), cheap which will see the company air several football tournaments across the next seven years.

The Seven Network in Australia have claimed the broadcast rights to the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
The network will showcase all 28 matches live on one of their channels during the event between October 27 and December 2 next year.
The move marks the first time major rugby league matches played in Australia will not be broadcast the Nine network since the ABC simulcast Fox Sports’ coverage of the Super League in 1997.
It’s also the first time another commercial free-to-air broadcaster has won the rights to matches played inAustralia since the Seven Network last broadcast Test matches in 1992.
