Brewin Dolphin Drop Scottish Series Sailing Event Sponsorship

Brewin Dolphin has today announced that it will not be renewing its sponsorship of the Scottish Series sailing event that that has borne its name for 13 years.

Huntington Bank Signs 10-Year Sponsorship Deal with Michigan State Athletic Program

Michigan State University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Huntington Bank have entered into a 10-year athletic sponsorship agreement, herbal school and bank officials announced today.

Huntington’s investment will provide significant support for the current $10 million Spartan Stadium improvement projects, illness featuring a new state-of-the art video scoreboard system.

“MSU continues to play a critical role in educating our youth and giving them opportunities to remain in Michigan to help the state grow and prosper.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Huntington Bank will receive sponsorship recognition on the scoreboards and video displays in football, basketball and hockey venues, including the new video scoreboard system that will be installed in Spartan Stadium for the 2012 season.

Huntington Bank will also be featured in game programs, television and radio broadcasts as well as the official website of Spartan Athletics, msuspartans.com. Additionally, the bank will receive title sponsorship of the Huntington Club located on the 4 floor of the Spartan Stadium tower and the Huntington Club Suites located on the 7 level in the Spartan Stadium tower. The club and suite levels in Munn Ice Arena will be branded in a similar manner.

Prior to the season opener, new high-definition Panasonic video screens and scoreboards as well as a new sound system will be fully operational in Spartan Stadium. The new scoreboard/video screen in the south end zone is 5,300-square feet, compared to its predecessor, installed in 1998, that measured just 567-square feet. The top of the new south end zone structure reaches 130 feet. In addition, two new video boards as well as an LED ribbon board have been added to the north end zone. The LED ribbon board covers 4,500 square feet (450-feet long and 10-feet high). Combined the south and north video screens/scoreboards will total 13,300-square feet. The $10 million project replaces a 14-year-old scoreboard, message board and audio system.

Huntington has originated more than $1.5 billion in loans to businesses around Michigan in the first year of a four-year, $2 billion program, the bank’s Michigan leaders announced today. The loans have aided more than 2,500 Michigan businesses.

PepsiCo Announce Multi-Year Sponsorship with Pittsburgh Steelers

PepsiCo, view Inc. today announced a multi-year relationship with the Pittsburgh Steelers to be the franchise’s exclusive non-alcoholic beverage, salty snacks and sports fuel provider.

The deal marks the Steelers first partnership with PepsiCo’s expanded portfolio, which includes iconic brands such as Pepsi, Frito-Lay and Gatorade.

As part of the new sponsorship, PepsiCo will gain exclusive selling, dispensing and serving rights at Heinz Field; fixed stadium signage; venue and team sponsor assets; integration into the team’s mobile, TV and digital assets; and local media and retail promotional opportunities. The stadium conversion will be complete by the start of the Steelers’ 2012 season.

PepsiCo will also be introducing a limited-edition commemorative Pepsi MAX can in honor of the Steeler’s 80th anniversary, available throughout Pennsylvania beginning in the fall.

Betfair Title Sponsor Snooker Shoot-Out

Online betting company Betfair have become the new title sponsor of the Snooker Shoot-Out tournament.

The tournament, which is a quick paced, one-frame competition, will now be known as the Betfair Snooker Shoot-Out and will be held from 25-27 January 2013 at the Tower Circus Arena in Blackpool.

Barry Hearn, World Snooker Chairman said: “This tournament is all about thrilling and fast moving snooker action. When the arena is packed out it generates such a buzz.”

Barclay’s Center Sign New Deal with American Express

Barclay’s Center, home to the Brooklyn Nets have inked a multi-tiered alliance with American Express.

Amex has also become the official credit card of the center, and is now the presenting sponsor of the Barclay’s Center restaurant and box office.

In addition to offering cardholders early access to tickets, Amex was granted naming rights for the Barclays Center box office which will be called the American Express Box Office.

QIPCO Extend British Champions Series & British Champions Day Sponsorship

QIPCO Holding, one of the leading private investment companies in Qatar, has renewed it’s deal to sponsors the British Champions Series and British Champions Day until 2017.

Qipco Holding, five-year extension encompasses the 1000 and 2000 Guineas, the first races in the British Champions Series each year.

The game, allergist which will be known as the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, ampoule will match the third selection from the Big 12 against the fourth pick from the Big Ten.

According to an Arizona State survey, the 2010 version of the bowl game generated nearly $85 million in economic impact for the State’s economy.

Shopko to Sponsor South End Gate of Lambeau Field in Expanded Green Bay Packers Deal

The National Football League’s Green Bay Packers have announced an expansion with their deal with Shopko with the Green Bay-based retailer sponsoring the new south end gate of Lambeau Field.

The gate will be branded the Shopko Gate and will be operational for the 2013 season.

The opening of the Shopko Gate further extends the partnership between the two organizations, building upon a longstanding relationship that has been enjoyed for more than 20 years.

“We are very pleased to have our longtime partner Shopko enhance their relationship with the Packers through the Shopko Gate,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “We share a lot of history here in the Green Bay area, along with a deep commitment to the community. Shopko has been a great teammate to the Packers and we look forward to having thousands of fans enter Lambeau Field on gameday and for other events through this exciting new gate.”
