National Airlines to Sponsor Olympic Figure Skating Champion Evan Lysacek

National Airlines, a United States Logistics and Charter Provider which has emerged into a leading global freight solutions provider has announced its sponsorship of current Olympic figure skating champion Evan Lysacek in his quest to defend his title at the 2014 Winter Olympics to be held in Sochi, Russia.

Lysacek, winner of the gold medal at the 2010 winter games in Vancouver, will attempt to become the first man to win back-to-back Olympic figure skating titles in more than half a century. America’s Dick Button was the last man to accomplish the feat, winning in 1948 and 1952.

“Evan embodies the determination and passion required for continued success in men’s figure skating and is an amazing example to our employees who work around the clock handling passengers and cargo throughout the world,” says Lori Alf, owner and board member of National Air Cargo Group.

“We wish Evan all success in his Olympic endeavor,” says Alf, who is also the owner of Palm Beach Ice Works, a training facility in South Florida for aspiring figure skaters and hockey players.

Nike to be England’s Official Kit Supplier

American sportswear giant Nike is on the verge of signing a deal with the England football team that would make them their official kit provider.

Nike, order who already supply the England rugby team, viagra sale are believed to be launching the new ‘Away’ strip for the soccer team, despite their official kit sponsor Umbro’s existing 20 million pound deal, which was supposed to run till 2018.

According to the Daily Mail, the move, which will earn the Football Association (FA) millions, can be seen as a ‘fightback’ after German rivals Adidas dominated the Olympics by sponsoring the Team GB jerseys.

Nike has also taken over the 10-year contract that Umbro had signed with Manchester City in 2009, worth 6 million pounds.

FA officials declined to make any comments on the matter.

Coca-Cola Renews NHRA Sponsorship

Coca-Cola has extended its sponsorship of the NHRA premier series.

The soft drinks maker Coca-Cola has said that it has extended its partnership with NHRA to sponsor the NHRA premier series through at least 2018.

The new Racing series will be named under its citrus flavored soft drink Mello Yellow.

Coca-Cola’s vice president of Sports and Entertainment Sharon Byers said: “The Coca-Cola Company and our bottlers have enjoyed a long and productive relationship with the NHRA. Together, ailment we have created a successful formula for many Coca-Cola brands to connect with the NHRA’s passionate and dedicated community. We know this trend will continue with the addition of Mello Yello – which boasts its own faithful following – to the equation”.

Bundesliga Clubs FC Nuremberg & Schalke Announce New Commercial Deals

Two Bundesliga clubs have announced two new commercial deals today with FC Nuremberg extending their deal with Audi while Schalke partnering with Bauknecht/Whirlpool.

FC Nuremberg have extended its exclusive sponsorship deal with car manufacturer Audi for another three years.

The deal includes an extensive ad package with boards in camera view as well as hospitality packages. In addition, Audi, which has been a sponsor of the club since ’09, will provide the team with its vehicles.

Fellow top-tier German side Schalke 04  have signed a new sponsorship deal with appliance manufacturer Bauknecht/Whirlpool for the ’12-13 season.

The deal includes logo presence at all Bundesliga home games as well as the use the club’s communication tools such as its online shop (Schalke 04).

Clugston to Continue East Stand Sponsorship of Scunthorpe United

English League Two side, medic Scunthorpe United FC, doctor has inked a two-year sponsorship deal with Yorkshire based Clugston Group.

The partnership will see the company once again becoming the main sponsor of the club’s East Stand. 

The agreement is taking place in a year which sees both organisations achieve significant corporate milestones. Clugston Group, pills which has interests in construction, logistics, property and facilities management, is currently celebrating its 75th Anniversary, whilst the football club will be celebrating, later this year, its centenary Anniversary.  

The agreement brings together two organisations that have a long association with each other. Clugston was involved in constructing the cantilever stand at the old Showground in the 1950s and first became a sponsor of the East stand when the Club moved to Glanford Park in 1988.

Commenting on the agreement, Clugston Group chief executive Stephen Martin said: “We are delighted to be involved with Scunthorpe United Football Club, which like Clugston, has a long history and tradition in Scunthorpe and the region. We wish them success in the new league season and a great run in the cups.”

STX to Sponsor Match Play Golf Tournament at Towson University

Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, announced today its sponsorship of the STX Match Play Tournament during Baltimore’s College Golf Weekend hosted by Towson University.

The three-day tournament will be held Sept. 8-10.

STX sponsors the Men’s STX Match Play Tournament where players from Towson, Rutgers, George Mason, Bethune-Cookman, Fairfield, Fairleigh-Dickinson, Stevenson and California University of Pennsylvania will compete. Seven players from each school will compete in match play competition. The tournament will take place Sept. 8-9 at 7:30 a.m. and Sept. 10 at 1:30pm.

“This is first time in ten years that a tournament of this kind will be held in the Baltimore Metro area, giving residents a rare opportunity to see these elite players compete,” said Steve Henneman, Director of Golf at STX. “As a Baltimore-based company, we are excited to sponsor the tournament and help promote golf in our community.”

STX will sponsor a practice round for students where they will have the opportunity to test out and play with the latest STX putters before the tournament on Sept. 7 at 8:00 a.m. There will also be a skills competition after the practice rounds for competing athletes.

The women’s Tignanelli Towson Invitational will also be held during Baltimore’s College Golf Weekend from Sept. 9-10. There will be 18 teams competing in the women’s tournament, including players from St. John’s, Delaware, William & Mary and Old Dominion.

“In the 15 years we have been hosting intercollegiate events, this is the first opportunity we have had to run a tournament in our backyard,” said Towson University’s head men’s golf coach Brian Yaniger. “Working in partnership with both STX Putters and the Towson Golf and Country Club, our supporters and fans and those who are fans of golf can now come out and see a Division I men’s collegiate event.”

The tournament will be held at the Towson Golf and Country Club, 12801 Stone Hill Road, Phoenix, MD 21131.
