Sir Chris Hoy Endorses SIS Brand

Science in Sport (SIS), a company owned by Provexis, has unveiled cyclist Sir Chris Hoy as its latest sports star signing. 

The six-time Olympic track cycling gold medallist is the latest in a series of elite athletes and teams to put their name to the brand. 

Hoy will work closely with Science in Sport and their team of experts in hydration and nutrition to help him perform to his maximum both in training and competition, SiS said. 

Hoy commented: “Nutrition plays a huge part in how well I do on the track, in the gym and out training on the roads so to be the best I can be, I need to use the best nutrition possible. I have used SiS products for many years and I’m looking forward to working with them to further develop this area of my preparation and recovery.

Padraig Harrington Becomes Brand Ambassador for Clune Construction

Clune Construction has announced it has signed a long-term partnership agreement with PGA Tour and international professional golfer Padraig Harrington.

BTCC’s IP Tech Signs New Sponsor for 2013

New British Touring Car Championship team, IP Tech Race Engineering has announced a sponsorship deal with emergency lighting company, One-LUX.

The new team will field an NGTC-spec Chevrolet Cruze for the 2013 campaign after former Team RAC, Team Aon and MG man Andy Neate elected to set up his own team for his fourth full season on the grid.

With discussions ongoing with a series of potential partners for the programme, Neate has confirmed that a deal has been struck that will see One-LUX move into the BTCC for the first time; having been involved in the supporting Renault Clio Cup last year.

“As with everything, it’s all about timing and One-LUX were looking for opportunities to build their brand through motor racing,” Neate said. “There’s no doubt, we’ve got a lot in common with the team at One-LUX and we’re really excited about sharing the season ahead with them.”

The company, which specialises in the design and build of electronic components for the lighting industry, will now seek to make the most of the chance to increase its brand awareness through the deal.

New Zealand’s Rugby Referees Agree New Sponsorship Deal

The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) and Pink Batts announced today that the New Zealand’s referees will be stepping out in pink this year thanks to an exciting three-year sponsorship deal which includes naming rights for the Heartland Championship.

Pink Batts will sponsor New Zealand’s referees for the Investec Super Rugby, ITM Cup and renamed Pink Batts Heartland Championship.

The deal means a new strip for referees with the pink socks, shorts and shirt uniform making a debut next weekend in round two of Investec Super Rugby when the Highlanders host the reigning champions, the Chiefs in Dunedin and the Hurricanes host the Blues in Wellington. The referees’ new pink kit will carry the catch-line ‘Another Good Call’.

NZRU Chief Executive Steve Tew welcomed the new partnership as a great acknowledgement of the role referees play in rugby.

Triathlete Ben Hoffman Extends Zoot Sports Sponsorship

Professional triathlete Ben Hoffman has renewed his endorsement deal with Zoot Sports through to 2015.

For the next three years, clinic Hoffman will continue to race and train in Zoot gear from ‘Head To Toe’ across the US, competing in every main distance of triathlon from sprint to Ironman/long distance racing.

This latest apparel deal for Hoffman follows a recently confirmed sponsorship for the athlete with leading US sports nutrition company, and bars & gels specialist, Clif Bar.

Toyota Speeds Off in Cricket Ireland Sponsorship

Cricket Ireland has announced it has obtained Toyota as its new Official Car Sponsor.

The three year deal will see Toyota providing a fleet of vehicles to Cricket Ireland including the Avensis and the Auris, order to support the operational and business needs of Cricket Ireland, prostate and to also support the strategic development programme for the sport in Ireland.
