University of Nebraska Athletics Extends Adidas Partnership

The University of Nebraska Athletic Department and adidas today announced a new contract that extends their partnership through 2018. 

The five-year contract between Nebraska and adidas runs through June 30, order 2018 and replaces the current eight-year deal that expires at the end of June. The new contract continues a relationship that began in 1995 and grants adidas the rights to serve as Nebraska’s official apparel and footwear provider for each of Nebraska’s 24 varsity sports.

“We are pleased to extend our contract with adidas as we look to continue to grow and extend our Nebraska Athletics brand world-wide, sick ” Nebraska Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst said. “Their products are of excellent quality across all sports and through the years they have also provided superior customer service to our programs. adidas has been a great partner for us and we look forward to working with them over the next five years.”

The long-standing relationship between Nebraska and adidas was a key factor in the decision to continue the partnership.

“adidas and Nebraska have been partners for nearly 20 years and we look forward to continuing to work with the university, medicine the athletic department and their student-athletes,” said Chris McGuire, adidas Director of Sports Marketing. “Our new contract allows us to continue to provide footwear, apparel and accessories that help the Huskers become stronger, lighter and faster. We’ve had a successful history with the Huskers and the future is bright in Lincoln.”

Lotus F1 Extends Columbia Records Partnership

Lotus F1 Team has announced an agreement with music label, cialis Columbia Records, capsule which will see the team building up on the relationship it has initiated with the music industry in 2011.

As the F1 season commenced with victory for Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen, Columbia Records will provide free regular streaming playlists on the new www.lotusf1team.com website.

Additionally, the iconic “Walking Eye” logo will feature on the bodywork of the E21 all season.

Boston-based mobile payment provider PXT Payments has announced a deal with Fenway Sports Management that will see the company sponsor Boston College athletics.

Fans of BC’s sports teams will be able to use the looped in mobile payment app at Conte Forum and Alumni Stadium.

“Looped in mobile technology offers an innovative payment solution for both consumers and merchants,” said Matt Murrey, VP of Boston College marketing partnerships at Fenway Sports Management, in a statement. “They have essentially captured all the conveniences of cash on a mobile platform without any of the drawbacks.”

The looped-in mobile payment app gives users the ability not only to find deals and pay for purchases, but also to send money to friends and pool money for group buying.

Rotary Aquaspeed Continues as Official Timekeeper of Clipper Round the World Yacht Race

The Rotary Aquaspeed brand will remain the Official Timekeeper of the unique Clipper Round the World Yacht Race following a sponsorship extension. 

As a Fleet Sponsor, pilule each of the brand new fleet of twelve Clipper 70 ocean racers will feature the Rotary Aquaspeed logo on the mainsail and the transom.

Rotary has revealed how its association with the Clipper Race as its first Official Timekeeper in 2011-12 was an outstanding success which has led to the decision to extend the partnership to the 2013-14 event.

The foremost sailing event in the local Youth sailing calendar is well-known as a platform for top-class racing and has grown into a much anticipated regatta for both local and international youth sailors. What started as a local regatta several years ago has now developed into a key competition with pre-regatta training camps for international sailors from foreign countries.

This year’s regatta, from 19th to 23rd March off the National Sailing Centre, is expected to witness stiff competition and aggressive racing as it is also one of the qualifying platforms for the 2013 ISAF Youth World Championships for Singaporean youth sailors.

Edward Hospital has signed a three-year agreement to be the title sponsor of the Naperville Marathon and Half-Marathon.

The inaugural races will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013, starting and finishing at North Central College near downtown Naperville.

For 2013 this ever-popular regatta has extended its invitation list and will feature six different classes. Entries will be accepted from the 50-52 footers; 44-46′ series production boats (minimum 4 produced) with a maximum IRC rating of 1.240 and a max SPA of 181.5 sq meters; the J/111 Class; the J/109 Class; the Quarter Tonner Class; and the SB20 Class.

Racing will take place on two separate courses in the central Solent using a combination of laid windward leeward courses and more traditional Solent “round-the-cans” courses. Once again Race Officers Rob Lamb and Bob Milner will officiate, ensuring top quality racing for all.

The Tour of Britain have announced that Rouleur Magazine will continue as the sponsor of The Tour of Britain’s Combativity Award in 2013.

Following the success of the 2012 Rouleur Combativity Award, ambulance awarded daily to the most attacking rider during last September’s Tour of Britain, Rouleur will once again be rewarding spectacular riding with a selection of regional cheeses during The Tour.
