Tottenham Hotspur Announce HP Partnership

The Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) have announced they will become the principal partner of Tottenham Hotspur for the 2013/2014 season.

The U.S. based computer company chose to extend the sponsorship agreement between the Club and Autonomy PLC, who has been a Club sponsor since 2010 and was acquired by HP in 2011, for a further season.

Daniel Levy, Chairman, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “We are delighted to welcome the HP brand back to the Club having previously been a Club partner in the 90’s.

“HP has established itself as one of the world’s leading technology companies and we look forward to working with them once again for the coming season.”

Melbourne Storm Reveal New Back of Jersey Sponsor

National Rugby League (NRL) club, ampoule Melbourne Storm have announced a new back of jersey partnership with the re-launched Tigerair Australia.

The unique jersey features the names of the current NRL squad, pills a traditional Victorian blue V down the front, underneath a watermarked image of AAMI Park, with the new Tigerair logo across the bottom back of jersey. 

Melbourne Storm CEO Mark Evans outlined the basic details of the new partnership, highlighting a wonderful opportunity for further growth.

“This partnership is really an opportunity for Tigerair and Melbourne Storm to test the market and see where it can take both parties,” said Evans.

“This week’s Big Battle III jersey will feature their new logo, along with another jersey later in the year, with a view to explore further opportunities in the future.”

RFS Increases Blackburn Rovers Commitment with Shirt Sponsorship

English Championship club, Blackburn Rovers have announced that Regulatory Finance Solutions Ltd (RFS) have become their new shirt sponsor extending their partnership.

RFS became official sponsors of the Riverside Stand at Ewood Park last November and have now added to their association by putting their name to the Rovers shirt.

A management consultancy business, who provide regulatory expertise for the financial services industry, RFS work closely with the UK’s major banks, life and insurance companies.

Life-long Rovers fan John Turner, Chief Executive Officer of RFS, said: “This sponsorship continues a long personal relationship with Blackburn Rovers, dating back many years.

“Throughout my childhood in Blackburn, I stood in the Ewood Park stands in all weathers supporting my local team. A lifetime ambition was to become more involved with the club and last year part of that was realised through the RFS Riverside Stand.

“To now be in a position to sponsor the playing shirt with the RFS brand is a proud moment for the company and for me personally. We are delighted to strengthen our relationship and our brand association with Blackburn Rovers and we wish the players at this great club every success for the coming season.”

Caribbean Premier League Ink New Apparel Sponsor

Limacol Caribbean Premier League (LCPL) organisers have confirmed India-based Apparel and Equipment manufacturing company TK Sports Private Ltd as the League’s official and exclusive supplier of team apparel and protective gear. 

TK is a leading global sports Apparel and Equipment brand with a major presence in Europe since 1984, no rx and have supplied clothing and gear to sports teams around the world across all sports verticals, including the Indian Premier League’s Sahara Pune Warriors and Kings XI Punjab.  TK Sports India will be providing the full range of kit for all six teams from practice jerseys and uniforms to gloves, helmets and pads.

SingTel Renew Title Sponsorship of F1 Singapore Grand Prix

Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) has revealed today they have extended their deal with Formula 1 to be the Title Sponsor for the 2013 Singapore Grand Prix.

As part of the agreement, SingTel have also secured options to renew the title sponsorship until 2017.

In a statement Race promoter Singapore GP Pte Ltd, said: “Since the inaugural night race in 2008, SingTel have helped shape the F1 Singapore Grand Prixinto one of the must-attend events on the motorsports calendar. Much of the success of the first five years could not have been possible without their invaluable support.”

“As one of Singapore’s most iconic brands, SingTel has been a fantastic fit for the world’s only Formula 1 night race. Their unsurpassed reach in Singapore, outreach programmes like last year’s “F1 for Everyone” campaign, as well as various platforms such as telecommunication services, mio TV and multimedia products have touch points with nearly every Singapore resident, enabling fans to get even closer to the Formula 1action.”

One of the roles as Title Sponsor is to commission the winner’s trophy. This year, SingTel has engaged a Singapore company, RISIS, to design an elegant trophy inspired by the Singapore skyline. The trophy, when viewed from the top, captures the actual shape of the track.

Jako Named Official Ball Supplier of Football Conference

English soccer fifth-tier competition, the Football Conference, have announced Jako as their new Official Ball Supplier for the next three seasons.

The deal is expected to use some 4000 balls will be used across all the competition for the coming season.

Brian Lee, the Chairman of the Football Conference said, “The match ball is the ‘tool of our trade’ so it was imperative that we found a ball supplier who matched our own high standards. Over the course of the deal, the balls will be used in over 5000 matches so quality was of paramount importance.”

Jako, based in Germany are renowned across Europe as an excellent outfit and as they looked to enter the UK market, the chance to work with the Football Conference was too good an opportunity to miss.

West Indies Cricket Secures New Scotiabank Sponsorship

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has extended its sponsorship with Canadian bank, find Scotiabank to remain the exclusive sponsor of its Kiddy Cricket Programme.

The new contract allows WICB to expand the programme of teaching foundation cricketing skills to the more than 150, story 000 students who are currently enrolled, reports CMC.

Scotiabank is expected to double its investment under the new deal which represents the longest sponsorship contract that the bank has signed with the WICB during their 14-year association.

“The WICB holds the Kiddy Cricket programme as a high-priority initiative,” declared Michael Muirhead, CEO of WICB.

“It is the base of the cricket development path in the region, and we are very pleased to renew this sponsorship with our long-standing sponsor and partner, Scotiabank.”

As part of the expanded deal, Scotiabank is set to fund close to 10,000 Kiddy Cricket programme gear and equipment kits, including bats, balls and stumps, to a number schools across the region.

The sponsorship arrangement is also set to play a role in the new Cricket Coach Education programme recently launched by the WICB in association with the University of Technology in Jamaica.

“We have seen significant progress in the Kiddy Cricket programme over the last 14 years as title sponsors,” said Heather Goldson, Scotiabank’s director of marketing for the English Caribbean.

“We have reached over 750,000 children since inception, and have had the satisfaction of seeing Kiddy cricketers rising to the pinnacle of the game as national and as West Indian players.”

Ignite Support British Skeleton’s ‘Talent Squad’ for 2018 Winter Olympics

Innovation consultancy, thumb Ignite, ampoule  has announced it will support the young athletes of the British Skeleton team on their journey to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

The 5-year sponsorship deal worth £100k will specifically focus on British Skeleton’s Talent Squad which is currently made up of 6 athletes aged between 22-24 years old.  The current squad were selected through talent identification programmes including UK Sport’s Power2Podium initiative in 2011. The squad has now completed their first non-competition season on ice completing 150 training runs on 5 different tracks across the USA and Europe.  The athletes have relocated to the sport’s training base in Bath and following a full summer training programme, ed they will compete for GB on the Europa Cup and NAC Circuits when the 2013/14 season begins in October.
