AJ Bell to Title Sponsor Men’s 2013 World Squash Championship

Investment platform AJ Bell has become the title sponsor of the Men’s 2013 World Squash Championship which will take place in Manchester.

AJ Bell have their Head Office overlooking the Old Trafford home of Premier League champions Manchester United and in a bid to increase awareness of their brand they have looked to embrace sport opportunities. The tactic kicked off last month with a three-year naming rights partnership with near neighbours Lancashire County Cricket Club for the iconic AJ Bell Players & Media Centre.

They hope their entry into Squash will fill their needs.

Thiago Silva Becomes First Soccer Player to Endorse Skullcandy

Headphones manufacturer Skullcandy have announced their first ever soccer player to become their ambassador with Paris Saint-German defender Thiago Silva signing onto the American brand.

The 28-year-old defender, who recently won the French Ligue 1 championship with PSG and led Brazil to its third consecutive FIFA Confederations Cup title, is the latest addition to the ambassador team which also includes NBA players Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Derrick Rose, Andre Iguodala and the NFL’s Stevie Johnson.

South African Rugby Secures Asics as Apparel Sponsor

The South African Rugby Union (SARU) has announced today thatsports performance brand ASICS will become the new apparel sponsor of the Springboks and their associated national teams.

The six-year deal runs from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2019, look taking in the Rugby World Cups of England 2015 and Japan in 2019.

As well as providing kit to the Springboks, clinic ASICS will supply kit and apparel to their associated national teams – including the women’s and all age-group teams, as well as SARU referees.

“This deal with leading sports performance brand ASICS is a huge coup for SARU, and one we’re very excited about,” said Jurie Roux, SARU CEO.

“We are entering an enormously important period for South African rugby, encompassing two Rugby World Cups, as well as a new Springbok era under coach Heyneke Meyer. ASICS’ high level technical apparel and global brand reputation will help us both on and off the field.

“Making use of local manufacturers was one of the criteria in the tendering process and we have been impressed in the way ASICS has approached this. Their team has already held a number of discussions with potential suppliers around the country.”

The new apparel will include compression fabrics to improve blood circulation, high-tech laser cut ventilation, ergonomic design and recycled materials.

Lindt Becomes Title Sponsor of 2013 Italian Open

The Open de Italia, herbal which will be celebrating its 70th birthday this year, has announced Lindt Italia, the Italian arm of the premium Swiss chocolatier, as the new title sponsor of the European Tour event.

The 70th Open de Italia Lindt will take place at Golf Club Torino, the home club of the Molinari brothers, Edoardo and Francesco from September 19-22.

Epson Inks Equipment Deal with FA of Singapore

Epson Singapore has agreed a three-year partnership with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) to provide equipment in a deal worth S$1 million (US$779, viagra buy 919).

The deal, pharm which was announced today at Jalan Besar Stadium, will see the computer products manufacturer supplying imaging and printing equipment for all of the national sports association’s training facilities. BankUnited Acquire Naming Rights to Club Level at Dolphins’ Sun Life Stadium

The Miami Dolphins have sold the naming rights to their club level at Sun Life Stadium to BankUnited.

Beginning Thursday, the 10,000-seat stretch of premium seating will be formally known as the BankUnited Club Level. It’s the first time the team has sold branding rights to that section of the facility.

“We are proud to partner with the Miami Dolphins yet again and to have our name associated with one of the premier sporting venues in the country,” said John Kanas, BankUnited chairman, president and CEO. “This is a tremendous branding opportunity for BankUnited.”

Jim Rushton, the Dolphins’ chief revenue officer, added: “Companies understand that sports is an important way to connect to customers. It’s the next evolution in naming rights.”

BankUnited is no stranger to sports branding. The Miami Lakes-based mega-bank, which went through an ownership change during the nation’s financial meltdown, also has owned the naming rights for the University of Miami’s on-campus basketball arena since 2005.

Recently Club level ticket sales are up 20 percent over this time last year, and the Dolphins have sold the most new suites of any NFL team, Rushton said.

National Rugby League team Cronulla Sharks has announced One Solutions has become front of jersey sponsor for the Sharks remaining games this season.

In addition to the major jersey sponsorship arrangement for 2013, adiposity for the next three years One Solutions will assume the Sternum Sponsorship property on the front of the Sharks NRL jersey. One Solutions will also become Platinum Membership Sponsor in 2014.

Earlier this season One Solutions took up the final sponsorship property available on the shorts of the Sharks NRL playing apparel, with the upgrading of their partnership a positive endorsement for the direction the club is heading.
