Soundwave to Sponsor Australian Junior Surfing Titles

Australia’s premier music festival Soundwave has announced it will continue to sponsor the Australian Junior Surfing Titles, signing a new deal as naming rights sponsor.

The festival, which tours Australia’s capital cities in February and March next year, is backing Australia’s biggest junior surfing event for a second consecutive year.

More than 200 of Australia’s best junior surfers will be heading to Kiama in southern NSW for what is regarded as the pinnacle of junior surfing in Australia from 30th November-7th December.

Kiama, 1.5 hours south of Sydney, is famous for attracting powerful swell and four beaches will be available to make the most of the conditions including Werri Beach, Surf Beach, Jones’s Beach and Bombo Beach.

“The Australian Junior Surfing Titles is the platform that catapults our next generation of surfing talent onto the world stage and we are thrilled to be the presenting partner for the third year,” said Soundwave General Manager Chris O’Brien.

“Having attended the event every year we have been involved it’s exciting to see a new crop of kids every year striving to be the best they can be. It makes us incredibly proud knowing that we are playing a role in helping them reach for their goals.”

Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark said it was a massive boost for the event to have Soundwave continuing its support.

“We’re excited to have Soundwave backing the Australian Junior Titles for a third year,” Stark said.

“The event is the pinnacle of junior surfing in Australia and is steeped in tradition so to have a major music festival like Soundwave supporting the event is fantastic for the sport.”

Honda to Sponsor Young Boys Bern

Young Boys Bern of the Swiss Super League has agreed a new partnership with Honda with the Japanese automobile manufacturer signing on as a main sponsor until 2016-17 season.

As part of the deal, abortion Honda will benefit from front-of-shirt sponsorship with Young Boys, unhealthy along with branding on training kit. Honda will also provide the team and club staff with a fleet of vehicles, while enjoying promotional and hospitality opportunities at home matches. As a result of the deal with Honda, Young Boys’ long-term partnership with French manufacturer Citroen as a premium sponsor and car partner will be discontinued in late 2013. Honda also replaces the Laureus Foundation as main shirt sponsor but the sporting charity will remain as the club’s official charity partner in line with an agreement signed in July.

Orlando Magic Announce Line-Up of Sponsors for the New Season

The Orlando Magic have unveiled their line-up of sponsors for the new season with a number of notable additions. 

The NBA franchise has formed partnership deals with best-in-class national and local corporations that span a wide-variety of categories, bronchi including telecommunications, insurance, automobile, electronics, athletic apparel/footwear, hotel and resorts, office products/equipment and pizza/quick service restaurant, Chief Executive Officer Alex Martins announced today.

Among the new partners to the Orlando Magic this season are DEX Imaging, SOUL Electronics, Quill, CenturyLink, Fields Auto Group, GovX, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, SAS and Marriott Vacation Club, the presenting partner of the Magic’s 25th Silver Season.   

In addition, FOX Sports Florida, Anheuser-Busch, Papa John’s, Florida Blue, the Department of Nutrition, adidas, Walgreens, Talk of the Town Restaurant Group and Kia have renewed their multi-year partnerships with the Magic.

“In joining with us as partners, several of the nation’s most respected corporations are communicating their commitment to the Magic, now and for the future,” said Martins. “We believe these partnership deals will be mutually beneficial and will provide the opportunity for our partners to deliver a direct, positive message to our fan-base and beyond, as well as continue to grow their brands and overall business.”

Anheuser-Busch extended their partnership with the Magic and remains one of four partners that have been with the team since its inception 25 years ago. Anheuser-Busch will continue to receive naming rights to the Budweiser Baseline Bar, an area located on the south end of the building that is open to all fans and provides an excellent view of the event floor. The partnership also includes signage throughout the Amway Center, marketing rights to the Orlando Magic marks throughout Central Florida and a program designed to encourage adult fans to drink responsibly and use a designated driver when attending games.

Papa John’s Pizza will continue their long-term partnership with the Orlando Magic.  As part of the renewed agreement, Papa John’s will continue to have a strong vending presence within Amway Center with branded stands on both the Terrace and Promenade levels. They will also have increased vending opportunities including mobile carts and a new purchase location on Chase Club.  Papa John’s will continue the MAGIC WIN promotion in which they reward Central Florida Magic fans each time the team wins with 50 percent off their entire order the next day.

Kia has also renewed its relationship as the Official Vehicle of the Orlando Magic and also will maintain the Kia Terrace, which is located in the northwest corner of the Amway Center and features a prominent vehicle display. Fans who receive tickets to the Kia Terrace through various in-market promotions can view the action while sitting around the Kia Cadenza, the Official Vehicle of the Orlando Magic. In addition to the Kia Terrace, the partnership highlights include in-arena signage, in-market promotions and a second vehicle display in the arena.

Chase, Florida Hospital, GEICO, Harris Corporation, PepsiCo, Southwest Airlines and Walt Disney World also return for another year as the ‘Champions of the Community’ partners for the Orlando Magic and the Amway Center. 

PSG Announce McDonald’s Partnership

Paris Saint Germain have announced a partnership with McDonald’s restaurants in the Ile de France region.

As part of the deal, McDonald’s will become a Official Partner of Paris Saint-Germain.

This new partnership will see McDonald’s receive more visibility on the Paris Saint-Germain media and the development, all year long, of events linking the two brands, especially in restaurants in the region. One of the biggest operations will be undertaken before the end of the year, in over 200 restaurants in Ile-de-France, or around 80% of the restaurants of the region, with the creation of a special meal deal called the ‘Menu Paris Saint-Germain.’

They will be the Technical Sponsor and Main Event Sponsor, with the ultimate goal to enhance its position as Official Sponsor.

DHL to Sponsor IRB World Rugby Conference

The International Rugby Board (IRB) have announced DHL as a partner for the inaugural IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition taking place in Dublin on November 18-19.

With two weeks to go until the event, sale DHL’s partnership reaffirms the global express and logistics leader’s commitment to supporting Rugby at all levels and will see them support the overall delivery and logistics for the event.

As part of their partnership with IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition and their role as Official Logistics Partner for Rugby World Cup 2015 in England, DHL recently unveiled details of their first official assignment – transporting the iconic Webb Ellis Cup from 2011 winners New Zealand to the IRB in Dublin for the official trophy handover ceremony, which will take place at the Aviva Stadium on the opening night of the IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition on November 18.

Oxford United Renew Weber Partnership

Oxford United have announced barbecue manufacturer Weber has continued its partnership with the League Two club this season. 

Weber have worked alongside the club for the last three years and are one of the more prominent names at every home game with their branding on every step in the North Stand.

Clare Edwards, Grill Academy Manager from Weber said: ‘It has been great to be involved with a local and family orientated football club. The partnership with Oxford United has allowed the Grill Academy barbecue cooking school to get the people of Oxfordshire and surrounding counties barbecuing more that the classic banger and the burger!’
