STX Adds MLL’s Ryan Young to Growing Sponsorship Roster

Sporting goods supplier STX, pills LLC, apoplectic based in Baltimore, have announced they will sponsor Major League Lacrosse (MLL) player Ryan Young for the 2014 season.

As part of his role with STX, Young will serve as an official STX-sponsored athlete and will appear in the company’s marketing and product campaigns. Young will also represent STX during in-store appearances and autograph signings. The Charlotte Hounds attackman will use the STX Surgeon line during MLL games this year.

“I am humbled and honored to join the STX family,” stated Young. “Ever since playing with STX gear in youth lacrosse, STX has always been my brand of choice. I’m looking forward to competing with STX products again in the MLL this season.”

Young had a breakout year in 2013, tallying 30 goals and 10 assists for the Charlotte Hounds. The attackman was named to the 2013 MLL All-Star game after leading the Hounds to their first-ever playoff appearance. A former University of Maryland lacrosse athlete, Young was named USILA Third team All-American and ACC All-Tournament Team in 2011.

“Young has been a leader for the relatively new Charlotte Hounds. Last season he proved himself as an essential team player, putting up more points than he had previously in his MLL career,” said Greg Tate, STX Men’s Marketing Manager. “We’re proud to have Young join the STX family and represent the Surgeon line.”

This follows STX recently announced signing Florida Launch’s Tucker Durkin following news that STX is an official Equipment Partner in the MLL.

TATA Becomes Parramatta Eels Short Sponsor

National Rugby League side Parramatta Eels have announced TATA Motors as the front of shorts sponsor for the 2014 season.

TATA Motors is India’s largest automobile company and specializes in commercial vehicles. 

TATA Motors Australia Managing Director, link Darren Bowler, is excited to be a part of a club with such a large and loyal Member and supporter base.

“We are extremely proud to be partnering with the Parramatta Eels as we continue to build awareness of the Tata Motors brand in Australia,” Bowler said.

“The Parramatta Eels and Tata Motors brands align well, having similar visions, values and cultures, and we are both building towards in big things in 2014.”

This partnership announcement with TATA Motors is the latest in a string of corporate successes for the Eels in recent times.

Apparel sponsorship is at an all time high for the club and CEO Scott Seward sees plenty of synergy between the Parramatta Eels and TATA brands in 2014.

“We really are looking to associate ourselves with companies that have similar values and like us strive for excellence in everything they do,” Seward said.

Z-Man Fishing to Sponsor FLW

Leading fishing tournament FLW have announced a sponsorship deal with Z-Man Fishing Products, Inc., manufacturer of the Original ChatterBait brand bladed jig.

The agreement marks the fourth consecutive year of partnership for the two organisations and lasts through the 2014 season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Z-Man will receive exposure across all of FLW’s platforms, including its tournaments and Expos, multiple websites, social media and FLW Bass Fishing magazine.

Akebono Becomes Official Technology Partner of McLaren Mercedes F1

Akebono Brake Industry Co., Ltd. has extended its technology partnership with the McLaren Mercedes F1 team for the 2014 season.

As aprt of the deal, Akebono is elevated to the status of ‘Technology Partner’ of the McLaren Mercedes team and will design and integrate an all-new braking system in response to the latest changes in the Formula 1 regulations. 

Furthermore, Akebono retains its supply status of racing calipers and brake pads for the hugely successful McLaren 12C GT3 race cars as well as being the brake partner of choice for the next generation McLaren P1 high performance sports car. 

Akebono’s dedicated team of engineers and specialists have developed an electronic ‘brake-by-wire’ rear brake control system to aide the braking effort at the rear, negating the need for the driver to constantly alter the brake bias, and thus contributing in preventing rear lock-up.

PGA Tour Signs New Marketing Partnership with SERVPRO

The PGA TOUR have announced a new four-year official marketing relationship with SERVPRO, troche a national leader in property cleanup and restoration.

By joining the TOUR’s Official Marketing Partner program, SERVPRO receives the designation as “Official Cleanup and Restoration Company of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour.” SERVPRO will have the opportunity to have a brand presence at tournaments on both Tours and promote its official affiliation using the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour logos.

Oris Inks New Deal as Official Watch Partner of Williams F1

Williams F1 have announced they have extended their agreement with Official Watch Partner, Oris, for the 2014 FIA Formula One World Championship.

This will be Oris’ twelfth full season as an Official Partner of Williams, after entering into partnership in 2003 and having subsequently enjoyed a strong relationship. For 2014, the Oris logo will feature in a new position on the cars’ nose. Oris will also continue its presence on the driver and mechanic overalls, driver gloves, driver helmets and the kit worn by team personnel.

Carlsberg to Sponsor Olivier Giroud

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is the new brand ambassador for beer brand Carlsberg.

Giroud joins the likes of Steven Gerrard, patient Frank Lampard and other soccer players in England, cheap who endorses tha alcoholic beverage.

Since being at Arsenal the frenchman has scored 21 goals in 58 appearances for the Gunners.

Threadneedle Agrees to Sponsor World Triathlon Series

Global investment management firm Threadneedle Investments has signed on with the International Triathlon Union (ITU) as a financial sponsor of the World Triathlon Series.

The announcement follows Threadneedle’s successful partnership at the 2013 PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final in London. The company introduced the inaugural Threadneedle Team Triathlon for its clients and employees who helped raise over £20,000, which was matched by the Threadneedle Foundation for Access Sport. 

Last year, Threadneedle teamed up with Access Sport to develop Tri-3-Sportz, a legacy programme designed to break down barriers to triathlon and make the sport more accessible to young people in London.

Entering its sixth year in 2014, the ITU World Triathlon Series will showcase eight first-class events starting off in Auckland, New Zealand, followed by races in Cape Town, Yokohama, London, Chicago, Hamburg, Stockholm and will cap off the season with the World Triathlon Grand Final in Edmonton, Canada.

Logicor to Back Cory Joyce in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East

Logicor, a specialist in enterprise shipping solutions, will back Cory Joyce and the No. 89 Toyota Camry team as the 22-year-old make his second career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start in the UNOH Battle at the Beach at Daytona International Speedway on Tuesday, February 18.

“I’m really excited to have Logicor on board for the Battle at the Beach,” Joyce said. “It has been a dream of mine to race at Daytona International Speedway, and I’m very thankful to have partners like Logicor, Kyros Entertainment, and Win-Tron Racing supporting me to make that dream a reality.”

The UNOH Battle at the Beach is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18.
