EurAsia Cup Sponsors Malaysia Events to Increase Interest for Competition

Organisers of the EurAsia Cup have expanded their club sponsorship programme to increase interest of the inaugural event.

The EurAsia Cup is supporting the February monthly club medal competition at approximately 30 of the leading golf clubs in Malaysia with a focus on the Klang Valley area.  Selected clubs in Singapore have also been invited to participate in the programme.

The EurAsia Cup Club Medal programme will reward participating golfers with a free EurAsia Cup cap and the winners of each club’s monthly medal competition will receive free tickets to the inaugural EurAsia Cup tournament at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club from March 27-29 as well as additional tournament merchandise.

Charlie Tingey, ambulance Senior Director of EurAsia Golf Ltd, sickness said: “We wanted to develop a club-wide initiative that would reward regular golfers, prostate encourage them to join us at the EurAsia Cup, and generate a bit of buzz within the golfing community. The EurAsia Cup Club medal programme adds value to the regular club medals and does so in a way that will be appreciated by golfers.”

Tingey added: “As well as the high-quality golfing cap that every participant will receive, everyone who takes part will be able to buy tickets at a special rate.  We’re aiming to reach over 30,000 active golfers with this scheme and we want as many of them as possible to come to Glenmarie for the tournament itself.”

NASCAR’s Jimmy Weller Partners with Engine Parts Plus & Genmark Geneva-Liberty Steel

Jimmy Weller will partner with Engine Parts Plus and Genmak Geneva-Liberty Steel for the season opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 21.

It will be Weller’s first start at the historic speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., and will kick off a 12-race schedule in the No. 08 Chevrolet Silverado with Mooresville, N.C.-based SS Green Light Racing. 

“It means a lot to me to be able to race at Daytona International Speedway,” commented Weller. “There is so much history at this track, and it’s always an exciting race. I’ve never driven on a track quite this big, but anything can happen in these superspeedway races. I’m looking forward to getting on the track with our Engine Parts Plus / Genmak Geneva-Liberty Steel Chevrolet.”

“We’re really happy to have Jimmy back in our truck this season,” commented team owner Bobby Dotter. “We ran a few races together last season and he did a great job representing SS Green Light Racing both on and off the track. He brings a lot of talent and energy to our team and we’re looking forward to having him in our truck this season. Jason Miller will serve as his crew chief this year-it seems like Jason, Jimmy and the team have been able to build some chemistry already, so we’re excited to see what the No. 08 Engine Parts Plus / Genmak Geneva-Liberty Steel Chevrolet team is able to accomplish with an extended schedule this season.”

Engine Parts Plus, who partnered with Weller in 2013, will return as co-primary on Weller’s No. 08 Chevrolet Silverado for the NextEra Energy Resources 250. Joining them will be Genmak Geneva-Liberty Steel to mark the Youngstown, Ohio-based company’s first venture into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Integrated Metal Products, a longtime supporter of Weller, and Maxim Racewear will also partner with the rookie driver in his debut at Daytona International Speedway.

Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho Becomes Ambassador for Jaguar & Hublot

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has secured two new endorsement deals as his team faces Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Watch brand Hublot and British car manufacturer Jaguar have signed the Portuguese coach as their ambassadors.

During a glittering event attended by many sports stars, Mourinho was named global Jaguar F-Type ambassador. Thus he will now drive a brand new £85,000 range-topping R version.

“I made my players a bit jealous because I took the car to the training ground. The country is fantastic and the football is the best in the world. You can smell the class,” he said during the ceremony.

Mourinho will be Hublot’s latest brand ambassador as the Chelsea manager toured the company’s Swiss manufacturing facility. 

The ‘keen watch enthusiast’ toured Hublot’s factory in Nyon yesterday before being announced as brand ambassador.

William Hill Seal Deal to Sponsor Imperial Cup Day at Sandown Park

Sandown Park today announces that bookmakers William Hill will extend their sponsorship portfolio within The Jockey Club London Region to include Imperial Cup Day on Saturday, order 8th March.

The deal features the newly upgraded Grade 3 William Hill Imperial Cup, hospital worth £70, site 000 in total prize money.

William Hill will also be providing an increased bonus prize of £100,000 which will be available if the winner of the William Hill Imperial Cup Handicap Hurdle then goes on to win any race at The Cheltenham Festival the following week.

Sheffield Hallam Becomes First University to Partner with Tour de France

Sheffield Hallam University has announced today that it is an official supporter of the Grand Départ 2014, a three-day event that sees the Tour de France come to the UK in July. 

The sponsorship agreement, which means Sheffield Hallam is the first ever university to partner with the Tour in this way, was announced today by Vice-Chancellor Professor Philip Jones and Gary Verity from Welcome to Yorkshire. 

The University has taken up this exclusive opportunity with ASO (organisers of the Tour de France) through Welcome to Yorkshire. The new agreement will provide significant benefits for students, enabling them to be involved in the world’s greatest cycle race.  It will provide more than 200 volunteering and participatory roles that they would be unable to experience at any other university.   

The University is developing a full plan of activity as part of the sponsorship package that showcases its academic expertise and experience in art and design, sport, engineering, and events management, amongst others, aiming to bring the excitement of the race to Sheffield. 

Speaking at the announcement Professor Philip Jones said: “In July, the eyes of the world will be on Sheffield. Ana Ivanovic & Caroline Wozniacki Remain Ambassadors of Dubai Duty Free

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships will take place on February 17-22, 2014.

Phoenix International Raceway has announced it will sponsor local driver Michael McDowell to kick off the race track’s 50th anniversary.

PIR’s 50th anniversary logo will adorn McDowell’s No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion during The Profit on CNBC 500 Presented by Small Business Fueling America NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, arthritis March 2.

“Growing up in Phoenix, ed PIR has always held a special place in my heart, ed ” McDowell said. “To be able to play a role in celebrating the track’s 50th anniversary is a tremendous honor and is something I’ll always remember.”

Peps India Agrees Deal to Sponsor Asia Cup

Mattress manufacturers Peps India has announced that it will be the Central Associate sponsor for the prestigious Asia Cup that will commence on February 25, clinic 2014 in Bangladesh.

This will be the first time in India that a mattress brand will be a sponsor for an international cricket tournament.

Audi have been announced as a new sponsor for the German Sailing League (DSBL).

In the second year of the league, order Audi AG supports the format as an exclusive partner, sale strengthening the nationwide cooperation between Audi dealers and local sailing clubs.

36 clubs will compete this season in nine races for the first time.

The German car manufacturer will support the Kiel Week and the Audi Sailing Team Germany.
