Under Armour Inks Rugby Canada Deal as Official Technical Partner

Sports apparel company Under Armour have announced a new multi-year sponsorship deal with Rugby Canada as their official technical partner.

The brand will manufacture and design training and match day kits for Rugby Canada national teams effective immediately. 

Under Armour will outfit the Men’s Under 17, Men’s Under 20, Women’s Under 20 and all senior teams. The 2014/15 match day kits for the senior teams will be unveiled next month. South Africa Announces Sponsors for Hockey World Cup Campaign

South Africa’s challenge for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup has been boosted after DLA Piper Germany, DLA Piper the Netherlands and South African firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr agreed to jointly sponsor their bid for the tournament held in the Hague from 31 May – 15 June this year.

As part of the sponsorship, the SA men’s team will wear the DLA Piper logo on their training and match shirts for the duration of the World Cup.

The games will be televised around the world, including Europe, South Africa and parts of Africa (on SuperSport). The South African team will play the Netherlands and Germany in the first round.

Web.com Tour’s Utah Championship Gets New Presenting Sponsor

The annual Utah Championship, ed a fixture on the PGA’s Web.com Tour for the past 15 years, will get a new presenting sponsor for the 2014 tournament in July.

Zions Bank has been involved with the tournament for the past decade, and has agreed to expand its involvement this year with a larger financial commitment.

The Utah Championship will be played July 10-13 at Willow Creek, with several pro-ams earlier in the week. Last year’s winner was Steve Alker, who won in a playoff over Ashley Hall.

Softball New Zealand Partner with Golden Homes

Softball New Zealand have struck a partnership with New Zealand’s leading home building company, Golden Homes.

The relationship which is the largest ever financial sponsorship for the sport comes on the back of rise in popularity of the sport, including the Black Sox home victory to take the world championship title last year, and live TV coverage of the test series win against Australia in March. Softball NZ have recently secured hosting rights for the Oceania Qualifier in December as the World Champion Black Sox team begin the defense of their world championship crown.

BMX Rider Terry Adams Signs Endorsement Deal with Tiger Balm

Mr. Adams has been competing professionally in flatland BMX rider contests since he was 16 years old, and has become one of the sport’s most recognizable names. Buffalo Bills Signs PremCom Partnership

The Buffalo Bills have announced a new partnership with PremCom, a leading provider of Unified Communications (UC) solutions in Western New York.

PremCom will provide ShoreTel telephone and communications equipment for the Bills administration building, ticket office call center and Ralph Wilson Stadium.

When fully installed, the ShoreTel system will support 500 phones with 20 users on mobility, and will reduce the team’s projected costs by more than 50 percent.

Golfers John Parry & Zane Scotland Secure New Sponsor

Arbuthnot Latham & Co., the private banking and wealth management arm of the Arbuthnot Banking Group, has agreed to sponsor European Tour player John Parry and 2013 MENA Tour champion Zane Scotland.

Parry, 27, has been playing on the prestigious European Tour for three years, and won the inaugural Vivendi Cup in France during his 2010 rookie year.
