Exposure Marine to Sponsor Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing in Volvo Ocean Race

Exposure Marine has been appointed as an Official Supplier to Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing in the Volvo Ocean Race 2014/15.

The agreement follows on from an extensive trialling and development programme, with the Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing crew, during the 2011 edition of the Race.

This exercise led to all the Volvo crews adopting EXPOSURE’s specialist range of high-powered LED lights and torches by the end of the Race. EXPOSURE is equipping Abu Dhabi’s Volvo 65 ‘Azzam’ with their lightweight, X2 multi-beam searchlights, with white and red beam modes to protect night vision, and featuring used customised switching programmes specifically for the Team.

The crew will be testing some used development products with highly specific search and rescue capabilities and a headtorch. In addition, the Team will use Skipper Ian Walker’s trusted favourite, the tiny XS personal torch, which he wore around his neck for the entire 2011/12 race.

Ian Walker, Skipper of Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing Team, Volvo Ocean Race 2011/12 said: “We have chosen to work with EXPOSURE Marine again for this Race as their lights are exactly what we need offshore. Compact in size, very powerful, and easily recharged, plus their inherent safety features and red beam capabilities mean they fulfil the functions of a trimming torch, search light and personal safety aid – all in one product. And, they are lighter weight than a multi-tool, which is crucial for us in reducing unnecessary weight.”

EXPOSURE Marine’s brand manager Tom Harrop said: “We are delighted to be formally associated with the crew of Azzam, and we value their professional approach and input. We have been working on some really exciting used safety products for the Team, which will come to market once testing is complete. The Volvo Race really is ‘life at the extreme’ and we know the brutal conditions the crew have to work in is the ultimate road test for our lights.”

Altodigital Expand Wolverhampton Wanderers Sponsorship

English Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed a partnership with Altodigital to sponsor the Club’s Stan Cullis Stand.

The national office technology specialist has been a Wolves partner for a number of years and now the two-year agreement will mean Altodigital’s branding becoming a familiar sight around Molineux and, generic of course, health on the Stan Cullis Stand.

Jez Moxey, Chief Executive, Wolves, said, “We’ve partnered with Altodigital for a number of years and we’re delighted they have decided to extend their relationship with us to include stand sponsorship.

“Altodigital are a very successful national business and we’re looking forward to continuing our excellent relationship with them on this even bigger and better scale.

“I’d also like to thank Altodigital for relinquishing some of their Stan Cullis Stand branding rights, to enable the iconic ‘This is our Love’ banner to remain on at least some of the stand.

“When the Club paid for the banner to be erected, we were always clear and open it would probably need to come down in the event of a stand sponsorship.

“This fantastic gesture from Altodigital ensures that the banner can stay for at least the next two years.”

Tim Hubbard, Regional Director, Altodigital, “It was a natural move for us to significantly grow our relationship with Wolves, after a number of years supplying the Club, and their partners, with our office technology products.

“We are now able to offer a wider range of products to all sizes of businesses and we look forward to working more closely with Wolves’ network of contacts and partners.

“At Altodigital, we understand the fans’ passion and what the ‘This is our Love’ banner means to the supporters, so we’re delighted to keep a presence for the banner within Molineux.”
