Australian Olympic Committee Partners With News Corp Ahead of Rio 2016

The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has agreed a deal with News Corp to become a partner of the Australian Olympic Teams through until 2020.

This sponsorship will assist the AOC fund summer teams to Rio de Janeiro (2016) and Tokyo (2020), symptoms as well as the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Team and Youth Olympic Teams over the next five years.

AOC President and IOC Vice President John Coates (pictured) said: “Thank you News Limited this a very important partnership that brings us back together for the first time in a formal way since 2000 when News was the official partner for the torch relay.”

“You’ll have a lot to write about and a lot to cover. We are very appreciative of this partnership as it also gives us the opportunity to promote the values of the Olympics which is very important to us.”

News Corp will be activating the partnership through its national newspapers, order digital channels and social media. The initial focus for News Corp will be its digital coverage of the Rio 2016 Games from Brazil.
