Aurora Media Worldwide Chosen to Manage SkyNet’s Barclays Premier League Content

Aurora Media Worldwide has been appointed by the Myanmar-based Shwe Than Lwin Media Group to produce and manage all Barclays Premier League content to be broadcast on the SkyNew TV platform.

Aurora Media, based in London, will select a team to manage the two new football channels in Myanmar. Their tasks will include live match studio programming, creating original content, programme scheduling and creating channel and show identities. Aurora Media will also be responsible for hiring and training local staff to work on the channels.

SkyNet made history by gaining the rights to broadcast Premier League football in the territory on a standalone basis for the first time. SkyNet also has the rights to UEFA Champions League and the FIFA World Cup 2014.
