Audi Gets Naming Rights to Adelaide Oval’s New Stadium Club
December 9, 2013
German car manufacturer Audi has acquired the naming rights to the redeveloped Adelaide Oval’s new Stadium Club.
The inaugural 1455-seat Audi Stadium Club will be completed and open to business patrons from March 2014, marking Audi’s first major sponsorship deal in this state.
Housed on the second tier of the Eastern Stand, the club boasts exclusive access to a range of food and beverage options, including a 5-star restaurant, the John Halbert Room and the Rick Davies Bar.
Audi communications general manager Anna Burgdorf said its involvement came a time when the car maker was building a stronger strategy around its sporty S and RS models.
“In each state we look at a high profile marketing opportunity that fits the brand and the launch of the first club at such a significant piece of SA’s sporting culture was perfect.”
“It was an ideal opportunity for us to capitalise on the new infrastructure going in and our sponsorship agreement with Oval itself is significant for the state.”
Adelaide Oval SMA General Manager Commercial Darren Chandler said the agreement was further evidence of the corporate appeal of the redeveloped stadium.
“The Audi brand represents quality and innovation and that’s what the Oval is about as well.
“We see synergies between the brand and the corporate market the club will attract,” he said.
