Atos Inks New IOC IT Partnership Until 2024

December 9, 2013

French multinational IT services corporation, drugs Atos, has revealed today an extension to their partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that will keep them the IT services partner for the Olympics until 2024.

Atos, who has been a supporter of the Olympics since 1989, said they went through a competitive bidding process but prevailed in the end.

Atos said in a statement: “The IOC wanted a company that can best serve the ideals and interests of the Olympic Movement, both from an economic standpoint and by embracing new technologies to ensure the smooth and efficient organisation of the Olympic Games.”

Atos is considered one of the 10 international companies that pay a total of around $1 billion for Olympic marketing rights over a four-year cycle covering winter and summer Games.

Other major TOP sponsors Coca-Cola and McDonalds have signed up until 2020.
