AT&T to Continue as Official Wireless Provider of Minnesota Timberwolves

February 20, 2012

The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced the renewal of a corporate sponsorship agreement with AT&T, for the communications company to stay as the wireless service provider of the Timberwolves.

Terms of the sponsorship include AT&T’s VIP Experience, a ticket promotion for the April 9 game vs. Phoenix, and an in-store appearance this Saturday, February 18, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., by Wolves All-Star Kevin Love.

“We are excited to once again welcome AT&T as our preferred wireless provider,” said Timberwolves President Chris Wright. “We share a phenomenal relationship with AT&T and look forward to our continued partnership this year.”

“AT&T is proud to be a premier sponsor and the preferred wireless service provider of the Minnesota Timberwolves,” said Hardmon Williams, AT&T vice president and general manager for Minnesota and the Northern Plains. “We look forward to continuing to connect Wolves fans to the nation’s most advanced mobile broadband network so they can call, text, check online stats, and send photo messages while attending games this season.”

The Wolves and AT&T will team up for the VIP Experience promotion for the April 9 game vs. Phoenix. The winner of the promotion will receive four front-row tickets to that night’s game, a limo ride to and from Target Center, pregame dinner and beverages, and seating at head coach Rick Adelman’s postgame press conference. Starting today, fans can fill out registration forms at participating AT&T locations through April 2, to be eligible for the contest. Last season, AT&T expanded its mobile broadband coverage at Target Center by completing the installation of a new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to serve customers throughout the facility.
