Aston Villa Chairman Ready to Step Down

Aston Villa FC chairman Randy Lerner has revealed that he would leave the club in the summer even if he fails in selling the club.

The American billionaire has been searching for a buyer for over a year, for sale and has valued his club at between £150m and £200m.

In an rare interview with The Times, generic Lerner admits he should have stepped down several years ago after watching the claret and blues battle against relegation for the last four seasons.
