ASICS Renews Sponsorship of Netball’s ANZ Championship

ASICS, medstore one of the world’s leading footwear companies, anabolics has announced it has extended its sponsorship netball competition, ANZ Championship for another three years.

ASICS will continue to be the official footwear supplier to the 10 teams in the ANZ Championship until the end of 2016. ASICS also supplies shoes to the elite umpires who officiate in the ANZ Championship.

ASICS Oceania Senior Marketing Manager Sam Chew said the company is delighted to support the No.1 women’s sport in Australia.

“Netball is a proudly celebrated sport in Australia and New Zealand and ASICS is pleased to be continuing our long standing partnership with the ANZ Championship,” Chew said.

“This joint venture will enable ASICS to showcase our leadership in the innovation and design of netball specific footwear to enhance team performance leading into the 2015 Netball World Cup.”

ANZ Championship General Manager Andy Crook is delighted to continue the partnership with ASICS.

“It’s fitting that one of the world’s leading athletic shoe brands is involved with the world’s best netball league for the next three years,” Crook said.

“ASICS is a long-time supporter of netball in Australia and New Zealand, having been the official supplier to the ANZ Championship since the league began in 2008.”

ASICS has also signed a three-year deal to be the official footwear supplier for the Australian Diamonds and Australia’s 21/U squad.

The 2014 ANZ Championship season begins on 1 March.
