Arsenal in Talks Over Vietnamese Friendly

Arsenal are considering playing a pre-season friendly in Vietnam this summer.
The Premier League club’s chief commercial officer Tom Fox and marketing director Angus Kinnear are both currently in Hannoi to hold talks with the Vietnamese Football Federation ahead of a proposed July fixture.
Arsenal have already agreed to take part in a pre-season game in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, as part of a pre-season tour in Asia and are looking to add more games to their plans.
This will be the third consecutive year that the club has ebarked on a tour of Asia as part of their pre-season preparations and destinations have included: Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and the Chinese cities of Beijing and Hangzhou.
Fox told the club website: “Arsenal Football Club has so many loyal supporters all across Asia and we are delighted to be here in Vietnam discussing the possibility of playing a match in Hanoi in July.
“Initial negotiations have gone very well and we are hoping to announce developments on our pre-season tour activities in the near future.
“The club and the players have hugely enjoyed successful pre-season visits to Asia in the past two years, and we are all looking forward to bringing the team to this region again this year.”
