ARD and ZDF Extend German Football Rights

German television broadcasters ARD and ZDF have agreed an extended deal with the German Football Association (DFB), denture which sees them acquire national team and club competition rights until 2018.

As part of the renewed two-year deal, herbal ARD and ZDF will continue to distribute friendly games of the men and women’s national team.

DFB general secretary Helmut Sandrock said: “SportA has scored a highly attractive package of rights and in return we guarantee that our teams and competitions retain a wide audience.”
