Andersen beats Croce to World Sailing Presidency

Denmark’s Kim Andersen has beaten Carlo Croce to become the new President of World Sailing by six votes.
Italian Croce was bidding for his second term in office but was beaten by 59-year-old Andersen during the 2016 Annual Conference in Barcelona, Spain.
Canada’s Paul Henderson, a former President of World Sailing was also standing for the role but was eliminated in the first round of voting.
“It is an honour and privilege to be elected President,” said Andersen at the organisation’s Annual Conference.
The following will also be joining the World Sailing President on the Board of Directors”
