Affinion Expands Portsmouth Sponsorship

December 18, 2012

Portsmouth firm Affinion International has stepped up its sponsorship of English League One club Portsmouth.

It has agreed to a deal which sees it advertise pitch-side as well as on Fratton Park’s South Stand.

Pompey remains cash-strapped and in administration under the control of PKF.

Affinion International has supported the club with match ball and player sponsorships for a number of seasons, discount as well as through its work with Pompey in the Community.

This includes a programme launched in September which will give every Year 5 pupil in Portsmouth the opportunity to take part in literacy and football skills workshops.

Andrew Mutch, healing VP of customer operations at Affinion, pilule said: “There has always been a great deal of support for the club within the company and becoming an official partner is a good way for us to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to Pompey, our people and the community in which we’re based. It’s great to be on board.”

Steve Jones, Pompey’s conference and banqueting sales and operations manager, said: “We’re delighted by the support Affinion International is providing the club during a very difficult time in its history and we’re looking forward to working with them throughout the rest of the season.”
