Adidas and Fox Sports Italy Executives Join iSportconnect Directors’ Club Panel in Milan

May 2, 2014

iSportconnect, the world’s largest private network for sport business executives, has announced today that Chris Grancio, adidas Head of Global Basketball Sports Marketing, and Fabio Guadagnini, Vice President of Fox Sport Italy, have joined the panel for the first ever Directors’ Club in Milan in association with Euroleague Basketball.

iSportconnect Directors’ Club is an invitation-only event open exclusively for chief executives, chairmen and director-level executives from governing bodies, sports teams and sponsorship brands.

The Directors’ Club event in Milan will take place at the Mediolanum Forum and will include an impressive panel of high-profile speakers. As usual, the format will be a Question Time-style debate on May 16, coinciding with the 2014 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four.

Joining Mr. Grancio and Mr. Guadagnini as panelists will be Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball President & CEO, and Umberto Gandini, AC Milan Director of Sport Organization.

In his position at adidas, Grancio (pictured left) directs all elements of their global basketball sports marketing and has held that position since 2010. A former basketball player, Grancio has previously worked for adidas America, New Balance and Staples in various roles.

“I am looking forward to joining such a great roster of panelists in this prestigious event,” Mr. Grancio said. “It will be a great opportunity to get all industry leaders together in one place, right before one of the greatest sports moments of the year, the Final Four.”

Fox Sport’s Guadagnini (pictured right) began his career as a TV anchor at Tele+ Italy. He soon moved to Sky Italia in 2003 as a vice director of Sky Sport and secured two more promotions before ending up as Vice President in 2013.

Mr. Guadagnini said: “I’m pleased to take part in this panel. Launched in August and December 2013, Fox Sports and Fox Sports 2 are relatively young channels in the Italian media scene, but our brand is the one of the most diffused and recognizable television brands in the world. We are proud to host the broadcast of such an important international sporting event such as the Final Four, especially during the same year it will be hosted in our country.”

Michael Cunnah, iSportconnect Chairman, said: “iSportconnect is delighted to welcome Chris & Fabio to the panel who are great additions to the current line-up of Jordi and Umberto.”

The unique, invitation-only Q&A session has been highly successful in London and Germany and last year extended its reach to France. Further events abroad are in the pipeline.
