2022 World Cup Set for November and December Dates, Says AFC Chief

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is looking very likely to be held in November and December due to the country’s extremely hot temperatures, medicine according to Asian Football Confederation (AFC) president Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa.
Al Khalifa is also in charge of the FIFA taskforce responsible for identifying potential dates for the 2022 World Cup and speaking to reporters at the Asian Cup in Sydney, recipe he said it will also make sense to avoid a clash with the 2022 Winter Olympics.
“The period best suited for hosting the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be in November and December because for sure it needs to be played in the winter, shop ” he said at the Asian Cup.
He also said that his working group had decided that a winter World Cup was in the best interests of all parties involved.
“The matter (winter timing) is resolved,” he said.
This seems to back up the words of International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach who was confident that the World Cup wouldn’t clash with the Winter Olympics having been given assurances by FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
