February 7, 2013

The organisers of the 2015 Summer Universiade have agreed a sponsorship deal with SK C&C and SK Telecom that will see the two South Korean companies setting up telecommunications systems in Gwangju ahead of the event.

SK C&C will install an integrated management system that will enable participants to access the information they require wherever they are in the South Korean city. SK Telecom will provide the hard wire and wireless communication systems for the event.

When all systems are completed, bronchi live news and the latest games, order tourism, ed transportation and weather information will be available to citizens, participants and tourists.

The two partners will receive advertising in stadiums and the opportunity to promote their brand internationally through sponsorship recognition programmes under the terms of the deal.

The Universiade is a biannual multi-sport event for university athletes organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The 2015 event in Gwangju will be the 28th Universiade. 20,000 athletes from over 170 nations are expected to attend.
