2013 SportAccord Conference Adds News Corp’s Hill Among New Star Speakers

SportAccord Convention announced today that David Hill, for sale Senior Executive Vice President, treat News Corporation, will be a keynote speaker during SportAccord Convention in Saint-Petersburg from May 26-31, 2013. The former Chief Executive of Fox Sports, who will address the future relationship of sport and television, joins a stellar list of new participants for the conference on “The State of Our Industry – Examining the Health of Sport.”

Outstanding new speakers include Donald Fehr, Executive Director of the National Hockey League Players’ Association, Lisa Murray, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer of Octagon Worldwide, and NBC Olympics Executive Producer Jim Bell, who will head the American network’s production of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. They will share the panel debating the big picture of “How Fit Is Sport?”

Mike Forde, Executive Director / Director of Football Operations at reigning European champion club Chelsea FC, will join another new addition, America’s Cup 2013 Vice Chair Harvey Schiller, on the panel on “Sport and the Global Economy.” The session on “Bionic Sport of the Future” will feature the insights of former Paralympian David McCrea, Vice President Major Events Division, MV Global Transport Logistics.

The 11th SportAccord Convention, the first in Russia, will take place at the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex in Saint-Petersburg.
