2011 Asian Tour Appoints Rolex as Official Timekeeper

Golf’s 2011 Asian Tour has secured the sponsorship of watch manufacturer Rolex as the event’s official timekeeper.

Rolex is already the official timekeeper of some co-sanctioned Asian Tour events of the World Golf Championships such as the Barclays Singapore Open and CIMB Asia Pacific Classic.

Jean-Noël Bioul, Rolex’s co-director of sponsorship international activities, said: “We are proud to be associated with the Asian Tour and believe that their product is going from to strength to strength with exciting opportunities ahead.”

The latest agreement extends Rolex’s ties with the sport having been associated with a number of worldwide tournaments including the World Golf Championships, the Ryder Cup, the four Major Championships, The European Tour and the LPGA Tour.

The company has also developed partnerships with some of the world’s best players including icons such as Gary Player, Tom Watson and Phil Mickelson.
