Everton to Get New Kit Sponsors Nike

March 8, 2012

Everton FC have replaced their current kit suppliers Le Coq Sportif in a major deal with sports apparel giant Nike.

The Blues will enter the big league of kit manufacturers by wearing shirts designed by the US based manufacturer which boasts a portfolio of Barcelona, Manchester United and Brazil.

Nike will make the home, away and third strip for the Toffees – the first time they have dipped their toe in the Merseyside football market.

The deal comes as a result of Everton’s established £30m contract with sports retailers Kitbag to market the club’s merchandise worldwide.

It is understood the contract with the global sportswear giant is along similar financial lines to the existing one which is about to end and there will be little difference in terms of up-front income.

But Everton will hope the deal will expand the brand to a global fan base.

The deal is set to begin for the 2012-13 season.
