BullFrog Becomes Official Sunscreen of IRONMAN U.S. Series

Triathlon event series IRONMAN has revealed that BullFrog is the new Official Sunscreen of the IRONMAN U.S. Series and of each of the 11 individual IRONMAN events to be held in the U.S. during the 2014 season.

BullFrog is one of the iconic sunscreen brands made in Cocoa, Florida, by Sun & Skin Care Research, LLC (SSCR) and will be provided to all athletes at the events.

“IRONMAN is pleased to join forces with BullFrog and a fellow Florida company, Sun & Skin Care Research,” said Andrew Messick, Chief Executive Officer of IRONMAN. “Proper sun protection in and out of water is a crucial element of our sport and we are excited to team with BullFrog to provide our athletes with trusted and proven protection that will keep up with their needs.”

SSCR EVP and Acting CEO Tom Nestor said: “We are excited to have IRONMAN as a partner across eleven events in the ultimate competition, the IRONMAN U.S. Series. From Miami to Malibu and everywhere in between, triathletes and anyone who loves the outdoors will discover that BullFrog was created for ultimate performance and protection.”

BullFrog will support IRONMAN events across the U.S. beginning with Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas on May 17, 2014.

“IRONMAN is a natural fit for BullFrog,” SSCR VP, Marketing Valda Coryat added. “That’s because BullFrog can be used everywhere the athletes swim, bike and run. BullFrog is engineered to stay put … in and out of the water.”

As an official sponsor, BullFrog will have a tent at the IRONMAN Expo Village, where the brand will distribute sunscreen samples and provide education on sun protection. BullFrog will have a visual presence along the race course and prominent exposure at the finish-line chute. BullFrog Sunscreen Stations will also be set up along the course, enabling athletes to apply sunscreen at transition points during the race.
