Major Champion Golfer Stacy Lewis Signs Sponsorship Deal with Marathon Petroleum

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) has signed a sponsorship agreement with female golfer Stacy Lewis.

Samsung to Continue Title Sponsorship of Diamond League for 2012 Season

The IAAF has agreed a deal with Samsung to stay as the title sponsor of the Diamond League for the 2012 season.

Visa Europe to Sponsor London 2012 Media Centre

Visa Europe have acquired the rights to sponsor the London Media Centre, which is expected to host more than 10,000 non-accredited media who will be in the capital to cover this year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games. 

Operated by the Greater London Authority (GLA), the London Media Centre at One Great George Street off Parliament Square, will offer a number of services to journalists from across the world throughout the Games, including a state of the art reporting and distribution facilities and a central London location. 

The London Media Centre will also be proactively producing and distributing content to journalists using the centre about the wider London 2012 story on topics such as tourism, finance, economics, lifestyle and technology.

The non-accredited media will be unable to access Olympic venues so the London Media Centre will act as a hub for these journalists looking to tell wider stories about London and the UK in and around Games time.

Visa plan to use their sponsorship to showcase its mobile and contactless payment innovations at the Games and produce regular reports on economic impact and consumer spending during Games time as well as providing access to the wide range of athletes in Team Visa.

Peter Schmeichel Becomes Ambassador for Carlsberg

Carlsberg Group has announced today that they have appointed Peter Schmeichel, legendary former goalkeeper for Denmark and Manchester United, as its global ambassador for the duration of the brand’s UEFA EURO 2012 campaign.

Richard Childress Racing Continues Long Term Partnership with BB&T Corporation

Richard Childress Racing announced Tuesday the extension of its longtime partnership with BB&T Corporation for the 2012 Sprint Cup Series season.

The full-service financial institution will serve as primary sponsor for five races on the No. 31 Chevrolet, retaining its status as official bank of the 43-year-old Welcome, N.C.-based organization.

“BB&T has been a great partner of RCR over the years so we’re very pleased to renew our program with them,” Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing said. “It’s always beneficial working with a partner like BB&T that has strong ties to the area.”

BB&T’s primary race sponsorship occurs within the corporation’s branch footprint, which covers 12 states and Washington D.C. The No. 31 Chevrolet, driven by Jeff Burton, will debut in March at Bristol with other appearances coming at Martinsville, Richmond, Darlington and a special edition co-branded paint scheme with Caterpillar at the Sprint All-Star Race. The newly designed burgundy and gray paint scheme will also adorn the No. 31 entry at Dover in June.

PGA Acquires Official Cleansing Company & Renews Deal with Lead Apparel Partner

Northwestern University Athletics Gets New Bank Sponsor

BMO Harris Bank announced today they have entered into a multi-year partnership agreement with Northwestern University Athletics that will support the student-athletes, alumni and mission of Northwestern University Department of Athletics and Recreation.

As the official banking and investment partner of the Northwestern Wildcats, BMO Harris Bank’s renewed and expanded sponsorship will support the overall operations of the athletic department at Northwestern and help enhance the university’s N Club facility, an event venue that hosts the N Club letter winner association and NU student-athletes before and during sporting events.
