Tata Sponsors Indian F1 Driver

Indian beverage company, Tata Global Beverages, sponsored Formula One race driver Narain Karthikeyan at the weekend’s Singapore F1 Grand Prix and will sponsor India’s first Formula One driver for the upcoming Indian GP.

Tata will have branding on Karthikeyan’s vehicle and on his water bottle and race helmet.

The deal is part of Tata Global Beverages’ programme to help develop world class Indian talent.{jcomments on}

Red Bull Racing Extends Apparel Partnership with Alpinestars

Formula One frontrunners Red Bull Racing has extended its partnership with Alpinestars, the premier performance motorsport apparel company, after concluding a new multi-year agreement.

Martin Golf to Sponsor PGA Tour’s Frys.com Open

The Frys.com Open announced a new partnership with Martin Golf Apparel.

The clothing specialist will present the Fry’s & Friends Pro-Am to start the tournament week. The private Pro-Am event will be held at CordeValle Golf Club, order on Monday, unhealthy October 8, 2012. The exclusive event is an opportunity to play the championship venue with a PGA TOUR professional.

Westwood, Watson & Oosthuizen Renew PING Sponsorship Deals

Golf’s top elite players, Lee Westwood, Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen have all inked new multi-year contracts with equipment brand, PING.

Lee Westwood, Bubba Watson, and Louis Oosthuizen – fourth, seventh, and 11th, respectively, in the latest Official World Golf Ranking – have all been with PING their entire pro careers. Each comes into this week’s Tour Championship high on the FedExCup points list.

“Personally, it has been gratifying to watch these men progress in their careers and fulfill the potential they first showed at very young ages,” said John A. Solheim, PING Chairman & CEO. “Success in this sport is tremendously hard to achieve, and to sustain their high level of play over many years is a testament to how hard they work, which enables them to get the most out of their unique talents. As part of the agreements, all three men will wear a PING hat, carry a PING staff bag and play a minimum of 11 PING clubs, including a PING driver and PING putter. Financial terms and the length of the agreements were not disclosed.

Paris St. Germain Close to Record New Sponsorship Deal

French powerhouses, medicine Paris St. Germain are close to securing a record  €100M ($130M) annual sponsorship deal, ailment according to the AFP.

 The “enormous contract” is in advanced stages of discussion with an unknown Qatari bank, and “would most likely” be for four years. A PSG management source told AFP, “It is possible the deal has already been signed.” The Qatari bank “would like to become the jersey sponsor of PSG next season.”

It would replace Fly Emirates, whose contract runs through 2014. Emirates pays the Parisian club €3.5M ($4.6M) annually. The Qatari investors would also like the naming rights to the Parc des Princes Stadium.

PSG General Dir Jean Claude Blanc had no comment on the possible deal but said, “As a whole, the revenue lines of PSG are seeing rapid growth, and a large number of contracts are currently being discussed.” If the deal is signed, PSG “would be safe from any possible UEFA sanctions”.

William Hill Extends UK Championship Snooker Sponsorship

Betting firm, anabolics WilliamHill.com have extended their sponsorship of snooker’s UK Championship for another two years. 

The bookmaker’s online arm supported the world ranking tournament for the first time last year and will now do the same in 2012 and 2013. 

This year’s WilliamHill.com UK Championship runs from 1-9 December and features 32 of the best players in the world. 

Judd Trump is set to defend his title at the York Barbican, medical where total prize money of £625,000 will be on offer. 

Trump won last year’s tournament with an exciting 10-8 victory over Mark Allen. 

World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn said: “There is a fantastic buzz about snooker at the moment, exemplified when young sensation Judd Trump won the title in York with an incredible display of potting. 

“William Hill recognise that this sport is going places and they want to be involved, and we welcome them back with open arms to sponsor this outstanding tournament.” 

William Hill chief marketing officer Kristof Fahy added: “Snooker has a massive global reach and our sponsorship will enable us to reach over 100 million potential customers across the world.” 

Tottenham Hotspur Extend Shirt Sponsorship with Investec

English Premier League team, Tottenham Hotspur have renewed their shirt sponsorship with Investec.

The specialist bank and asset manager’s logo will appear on Spurs’ strips during their Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup clashes this season.

The club have different sponsors for league and cup competitions, so Autonomy will continue to be the name on Tottenham’s shirts in the Premier League.

Investec began its sponsorship of Spurs in 2010 ahead of the team’s run to the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Its name will be displayed on the shirts for the first time this season when Lazio visit White Hart Lane on 20 September for the opening match of this season’s UEFA Europa League campaign.

Investec’s Raymond van Niekerk said: “We continue our partnership with a club that complements our brand and gives us the excitement of being involved with world class football.”

MLB Rising Star Mike Trout Signs First-Ever Sponsor

Finnish Gambling Company PAF Sponsors Spain’s La Liga

Finnish gambling monopoly Alands Penningautomatforening (PAF) has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Spain’s top-flight soccer league, viagra 100mg La Liga.

PAF stated that the deal with ‘La Liga’, capsule will see it ‘reach out to a wider audience than before’ and endeavour to offer Spain-based punters ‘unique experiences’.

“We are very happy to be able to align ourselves with the world’s premier football league,” said Anders Ingves, Chief Executive Officer for PAF.

“In cooperation with La Liga, we have the opportunity to provide our customers with unique experiences and products. As relative newcomers to the market, this partnership also gives us greater exposure and credibility with the Spanish people.

PAF, which already holds a Spanish licence, declared that the deal covers the entire 2012/2013 domestic season and will give it the chance to ‘communicate with everyone who follows La Liga using means such as social media and to organise activities under a combined PAF and La Liga flag’.

Betfred Extend Cheltenham Gold Cup Until 2015

The Cheltenham Gold Cup has renewed it’s ties with betting firm, Betfred for a further three years, up to and including the 2015 race.

Betfred’s Managing Director, John Haddock, said: “After the tremendous success of the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup last year, we wanted to secure a further long-term deal. It has been a pleasure dealing with Peter McNeile, the Cheltenham team and also the Jockey Club who were a major contributor in getting the agreement concluded in record time.

Betfred took over sponsorship of the National Hunt’s blue riband event in 2012 following its purchase of the Tote.
