Time Warner Cable Expands Hendrick Motorsports Sponsorship

Time Warner Cable Inc. has expanded its sponsorship of Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

The expanded partnership makes Time Warner Cable primary sponsor of the No. 5 Chevrolet SS team with driver Kasey Kahne for six races in 2013 and five races in both 2014 and 2015. Previously, bronchi Time Warner Cable committed to sponsor four primary events per season from 2013 through 2015. A winner of two Sprint Cup races this year, impotent Kahne has been featured in the high-profile “Enjoy Better” national brand campaign.

In addition, Time Warner Cable will be a primary sponsor of the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports team with driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. for five events in 2013, including four during the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The No. 88 Time Warner Cable Chevrolet SS will appear Sept. 7 at Richmond, Va., Sept. 15 at Joliet, Ill., Sept. 22 at Loudon, N.H., Oct. 6 at Kansas City, Kan., and Oct. 12 at Concord, N.C.

“We’ve been extremely happy with the results from our NASCAR initiatives,” said Jeffrey Hirsch, Time Warner Cable’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Residential Services. “The on-track performance of Hendrick Motorsports is well documented, but they’ve also put significant resources into building a world-class marketing operation. It’s been a team effort, and we’re seeing terrific exposure and return.”

As part of the new sponsorship agreement, Time Warner Cable will collaborate with Hendrick Motorsports’ sister company, Hendrick Automotive Group, as a marketing partner. The organizations will work together to develop marketing solutions specific to the automotive industry using Time Warner Cable product offerings.

The partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, which promotes Time Warner Cable’s video and Internet services, began in 2006. It incorporated on-car branding for the first time in 2012.

Red Bull Racing Ink Simply Sponsorship for Italian GP

Infiniti Red Bull Racing has announced Italian supermarket chain Simply has become a official race partner for this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

With more than 1,500 stores across Italy and more than 9,500 employees, Simply has been providing quality produce, convenience and high standards since 1961.

The partnership means that Simply’s logo will feature on the front wing of the RB9, as well as on the race suits of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. The agreement renews a relationship which began last year, when the Simply chain featured on the RB8 in Monza.

Red Bull are no strangers to supermarket partnerships as they agreed a similar type of deal with Kaufland for the German Grand Prix and have also partnered with audio specialists Sennheiser recently.

Wally Dallenbach Jr. Foundation Partners with Nascar’s Sharp-Gallaher Racing

The Wally Dallenbach Jr. Foundation has announced their partnership with Max Gresham, driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet for Sharp-Gallaher Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS).

In 2009, Dallenbach formed the Wally Dallenbach Jr. Foundation to give children who have lost a parent the opportunity to learn about the outdoors, their family heritage and their parent’s passions through hunting and fishing expeditions.

As an avid hunter and fisherman, Gresham will act as an ambassador for the foundation. To announce the partnership as well as raise more awareness of the foundation’s efforts, Gresham has offered to run a special Wally Dallenbach Jr. Foundation paint scheme at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sept. 28.

Buffalo Bills Announce Alex and Ani as Jewelry Sponsor

The Buffalo Bills have announced a multi-year partnership with Rhode Island-based lifestyle brand, Alex and Ani.

Alex and Ani will receive dynamic in-stadium signage, team related social media, online media, branding and grass roots initiatives throughout the agreement. Alex and Ani will also receive the designation “Official Jewelry of the Buffalo Jills” and will be heavily integrated into the Jills media platforms, as well as the Junior Jills program.

Phoenix have an established relationship with the Club, allergist having partnered with Celtic at various times over many years.

CNBC Joins Saracens as Official Broadcast Partner

Saracens Rugby Club have secured a new Official Broadcast Partner with CNBC, the worldwide leader in business news, coming on board the Aviva premiership team.

The two-year partnership, brokered by BDS Sponsorship, strengthens Saracens links with the City of London and will help increase awareness of the Saracens brand, and the values of rugby, to CNBC’s international business audience. 

The CNBC brand will appear on Saracens playing jerseys, with the network also benefiting from player appearances, access to tickets, hospitality and branding at Allianz Park for two seasons. 

The Saracens players will wear their jerseys with the CNBC logo for the first match of the season at the London Double Header on Saturday 7th September when all four London clubs battle it out in a showpiece season opening event at Twickenham. Saracens play London Irish with Wasps playing Harlequins.

Centurion Rugby has been announced as the officail supplier of kit for match officials and a broad range of equipment for venues and teams for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

Greene King Championship team London Welsh has announced a sponsorship deal with leading Oxford law firm Henmans Freeth LLP.

Henmans Freeth branding will appear on the back of the London Welsh playing jersey.
