Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed Hameedia as the official formal clothing sponsor of Sri Lanka National Cricket teams.

ASICS to Title Sponsor Greater Manchester Marathon

Japanese sports apparel company ASICS have agreed to title sponsor the Greater Manchester Marathon, ambulance taking place on Sunday 6th April.

The ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon is the flattest and fastest marathon in the UK – and is one of the flattest courses in the world – with only 54m elevation gain.

ASICS is the first title sponsor since the race was brought back in 2012 after a decade’s absence and will support the race and runners with assets like MYASICS; ASICS’ on-line training programme, training plans and expertise advice.

A total of 10,000 entries are available for the 2014 race and all finishers receive a medal, goody bag and ASICS technical t-shirt.

LTA Renews Babolat Partnership

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has revealed a four year extension to its partnership with Babolat, one of the world’s leading tennis equipment brands.

As the Official Equipment Supplier to the LTA, Babolat will provide technical, product and stringing support across the organisation, including via the Babolab at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.

The new agreement, which will extend until 2017, will also see continued support by Babolat of grass roots projects to support the LTA’s drive to get more people playing tennis more often. Babolat joined the LTA’s commercial programme in 2009.

Honda to Power Andretti Autosport for 2014 IndyCar Season

Andretti Autosport have announced a new multi-year agreement with Honda for the Japanese car manufacturer to supply engines for the IndyCar champions.

“We look forward to working with Honda again; for us, anabolics it’s like being back home. I have no doubt that together we will see great success, clinic ” said Michael Andretti, the team’s Chairman, President and CEO.

The Indianapolis-based team has competed as part of Team Chevy for the last two seasons, winning the championship in 2012 with Ryan Hunter-Reay. Prior to the return of the IndyCar manufacture competition in 2011, Andretti captured three series championships with Honda (2004, 2005, 2007), as well as two Indianapolis 500 victories (2005, 2007). Since its inception in 2003, Andretti Autosport has captured 48 IndyCar Series victories – 39 of those under Honda power.
