Labatt Breweries of Canada to Sponsor 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup

FIFA have signed a sponsorship agreement with Labatt Breweries of Canada for the Canadian brand to become the second National Supporter of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015.

The agreement provides Labatt with extensive marketing rights within Canada for the next edition of the flagship tournament in women’s football, site set to take place in Canada from 6 June to 5 July, 2015.

Labatt has a strong history of supporting football in Canada, with existing team partnerships in Vancouver and Toronto. 

“We’re delighted to welcome Labatt as the second National Supporter for the FIFA Women’s World Cup,” said Thierry Weil, FIFA’s Marketing Director.  “We saw from the last edition of the event in Germany just how important the support of national companies is to the success of the event and are happy to see the commitment of leading Canadian companies such as Labatt. Labatt is the second company to sign up as a National Supporter of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, following mobile telecommunications company Bell. In total, six National Supporter slots are available for the event

ExxonMobil Extend Toyota Racing Partnership

American multinational oil and gas corporation, order  ExxonMobil has renewed their multi-year technological partnership with Toyota Racing Development, drugs U.S.A. (TRD).

ExxonMobil will continue to provide its Mobil 1 racing oil technology to TRD-supported NASCAR teams.

Since the 2010 season, ambulance | TRD-supplied NASCAR engines have been filled with specifically customized synthetic motor oil based on the same technology of Mobil 1 engine oils. The TRD-specific Mobil 1 motor oils deliver outstanding power via unique low-friction synthetic lubricant technology and anti-wear additives to protect and extend the life of engine hardware during high-performance applications.

LG Drops Formula 1 Sponsorship as it Looks to ‘refocusing’ Sponsorship Strategy

LG Electronics (LG), a global leader in consumer electronics, has revealed it will not continue its sponsorship of Formula 1 into 2014 and beyond.

The South Korean brand said they will be ‘refocusing’ their sponsorship startegy towards regional platforms from 2014 onwards. They have been partners of Formula 1 since November 2008 and relinquish the designation of Global Partner and Technology Partner at the end of the season.

During the five years as partners, LG has enjoyed year-on-year growth and has been the most visible brand in the global broadcast of Formula 1 racing for the last three years, with a recorded 229,784 seconds of exposure achieved since 2010.

Also as part of the partnership, LG has enjoyed seeing F1 broadcast in HD; the consumer electronics giant also worked with F1 in Schools, F1 Rocks as well as the Global Fan Survey and the LG Moment of the Year campaign in partnership with F1 Racing.

Manchester United Partners with Maltese Commercial Bank

Premier League champions Manchester United have announced today a financial services agreement with Maltese commercial bank, drugs Banif Bank (Malta) plc.

The four-year agreement will see Banif Bank produce and market the official Manchester United credit card in Malta.

The Banif Bank Manchester United Credit Card will provide United’s Maltese followers with the opportunity to take advantage of the competitive rates offered by Banif Bank, as well as benefit from various United related incentives. These include discounts on the Club’s official membership scheme and reduced entry prices for the Old Trafford museum and tour. 

Banif Bank started operations in 2008 and operates exclusively within the local market. The company employs 160 people, servicing around 32,000 clients across ten branches and a further six business units.

ClearSky Business Enters Sports Sponsorship with Hull KR Deal

Hull Kingston Rovers have revealed ClearSky Business will be the club’s principal sponsor for the 2014 Super League campaign.

The agreement represents a first venture into sports sponsorship for the small business advice specialist company and will see the ClearSky Business logo adorn the Robins’ home and away shirts next season. The logo will also appear in and around Craven Park whilst plans are in place to hold a series of ClearSky workshops for start-ups and small businesses within the Enterprise Training Hub area of the new North Stand.

Bradford Bulls Signs New Deal with Long-Time Partner

Super League team Bradford Bulls have announced the renewal of their longest-serving sponsorship partnership with Sovereign Health Care.

The Bradford-based healthcare company have acted as a main partner since 2002 and have today agreed a new 12-month contract with the club.

Sovereign, whose branding will once again appear on the collars of the Bulls’ home and away shirts, have been helping to make healthcare more affordable and accessible since 1873.

“We are absolutely delighted to be continuing our partnership with Sovereign Health Care,” said Bulls CEO Robbie Hunter-Paul.

“It is great to see two well-established Bradford brands working together and we as a club are most grateful for their backing.

“Sovereign has displayed immense loyalty towards the Bulls over the years, with this coming season being their twelfth with us.”

Elvery Sports will also sponsor the Connacht Schools Cup.

Pinnacle Foods to Sponsor JR Motorsports Kevin Harvick

Pinnacle Foods’ Armour brand has agreed to be the primary sponsor of Kevin Harvick’s No. 5 JR Motorsports Chevrolet for three NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2014.

It will also receive associate sponsorship placement on the No. 5 for the entire 33-race season.

Pinnacle Foods is a leading producer, sale marketer and distributor of high-quality branded food products, bronchi and its brands can be found in more than 85 percent of American households. Its Armour brand specializes in canned meats and includes Vienna sausages, chili, luncheon meat, beef stew and more. Harvick carried Armour in one Nationwide Series race this year, finishing fifth at Bristol on March 16.

JR Motorsports announced last month the addition of Harvick to its 2014 driver line-up. Harvick, a two-time Nationwide Series champion and winner of 40 series races, will drive the No. 5 Chevrolet in at least 12 events, with Hunt Brothers Pizza and Armour sponsoring seven of the 12.

Performance apparel brand Tommie Copper have announced 12-time Olympic Medalist Dara Torres as an official brand ambassador.

The newly formed partnership kicks off with two new television shows aimed at showcasing inspiring stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things with the help of Tommie Copper’s EnergyWear. The new shows begin airing nationally in November.

Dara Torres is one of the most prolific Olympians in the world. From 1984 to 2008 she competed in an unprecedented five Olympics earning 12 medals and tying the record for the most decorated US female Olympic swimmer.
