Hisense to Sponsor FC Schalke

Chinese goods and electronics company Hisense has entered into a three-year premium partnership with German Bundesliga football club, drugs FC Schalke 04. 

The technology specialist will receive a strong presence on the LED advertising boards in the stadium, clinic as well as on all TV interview background walls.

Apart from TVs, Hisense also offers several other product categories such as innovative fridges and freezers. Thanks to this partnership, Hisense will now receive the same level of presence as other Schalke premium partners such as Coca-Cola and Volkswagen.

Henry Liu, Vice General Manager at Hisense International Co. Ltd., who is responsible for Hisense Europe, sees great potential in this partnership: “In FC Schalke 04, we have found a partner that will support us in strengthening our brand in the strategically important and growing European market.”

Alexander Jobst, Marketing Director at Schalke, is also convinced that both parties will benefit greatly from the partnership: “For Schalke 04, this collaboration with Hisense is another important landmark on our journey to internationalisation. As you know, we have had an increased focus on the Asian market for some time.”

BMW Named Official Automobile Partner of San Jose Earthquakes

Major League Soccer team San Jose Earthquakes have announced that BMW Northern California will be the official automobile partner of the franchise.

As part of the deal, BMW will serve as the presenting sponsor of the inaugural match at Levi’s Stadium between the Earthquakes and Seattle Sounders FC on Aug. 2.  The partnership will also include significant signage and media rights for BMW.

“We couldn’t be happier to announce our partnership with BMW,” said Earthquakes President Dave Kaval. “They are an industry leader and we have built out a great fan-friendly partnership with them. We are proud to have them as the presenting sponsor of the historic first official event at Levi’s Stadium on Aug. 2. We are looking forward to a memorable event.” 

In addition to serving as presenting sponsor of the match on Aug. 2, BMW will also have vehicle displays at Earthquakes home games throughout the season. BMW dealerships around the Bay Area will host 10 Ticket Test-Drive events during the 2014 season. Fans who test drive a BMW during those 10 events will receive two free tickets to a future Earthquakes home game. An Earthquakes player will be present at all 10 events.

Kevin Durant to Endorse Sparkling Ice

NBA superstar Kevin Durant has signed an endorsement with carbonated water drink, clinic Sparkling Ice.

“I’ve always challenged myself on the basketball court, but this offseason is really the first year I’m challenging myself off of it — on the business side,” the Oklahoma City Thunder forward told ESPN.com.

“This is a brand I drink every day that I love and I wanted to be a part of it. I want to help them get to the next level.”

Sparkling Ice has silently blown up over the past couple years, going from $25 million in sales in 2010 to expected revenue of $500 million in 2014.

Michael Yormark, president and chief strategy officer of Roc Nation Sports, said that Sparkling Ice came up in an initial meeting with Durant and his agent Rich Kleiman.

“He told us that this brand was already a part of him and he wanted to have an official relationship,” Yormark said.

Liverpool Partner with Scandinavian Online Gaming Brand

Champions League bound Liverpool have announced a two-year partnership with Scandinavian online gaming site ComeOn!.

As part of the partnership ComeOn! will use LFC platforms to offer fans in Norway, Sweden and Finland, where the Club has a large following, promotions and great gaming prices on every LFC fixture.

San Francisco 49ers Announces Citrix as New Patner, United Airlines Named Official Airline

The San Francisco 49ers have revealed today that Citrix will become a new business partner of the Santa Clara Stadium Authority as well as supporting the team and Levi’s Stadium as part of a 10-year agreement.

The partnership includes Citrix branding of the Owners Club level of suites as the “Citrix Owners Club.” The 49ers and Levi’s Stadium have also invested in Citrix mobility solutions and cloud services that will enable mobile workspace collaboration and productivity across Levi’s Stadium and during day-to-day team operations.

United Airlines Becomes Official Airline

The Santa Clara Stadium Authority and San Francisco 49ers also announced today that United Airlines will be the exclusive domestic and international commercial airline partner of the San Francisco 49ers and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

As part of a 10-year agreement, United Airlines will present an exclusive club located on the 300-level of the suite tower designed to accommodate over 3,300 ticketed guests for 49ers games, special public events and private catered events. At 44,000-square feet, the United Club is the largest club space in Levi’sStadium.

“We’re pleased to have United Airlines partner with us and present one of the special locations at Levi’s Stadium,” said 49ers CEO Jed York. “From the spectacular views of the playing field and surrounding foothills to the luxurious food and beverage options, The United Club will offer all the amenities of a first-class viewing area.”

StarHub Named Founding Partner of Singapore Sports Hub

Telecommunications company StarHub has become a Founding Partner of the Singapore Sports Hub, as well as the official telecommunications partner of the $1.3 billion facility.

Under the agreement, StarHub will receive branding rights to the National Stadium’s South West Gate entrance, as well as a 30-seater corporate hospitality suite.

It will also broadcast the Oct 17-26 BNP Paribas Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Finals Singapore presented by SC Global live and free on its dedicated sports channel SuperSports Arena. StarHub has also committed to carrying content from the Women’s Tennis Association tour on its pay television and Over-The-Top platforms, allowing customers to watch WTA content at home on their televisions or on the go on their tablets and smartphones.

West Bromwich Albion Add to Partner Portfolio with Two More Sponsors

West Bromwich Albion have announced two new partners as the new Premier League season is fast approaching. 

Fast-growing logistics company FCL Global Forwarding and 666Bet have agreed to sponsor the team.

FCL will sponsor of the Smethwick End at The Hawthorns for the 2014/15 season.
FCL, Albion’s first-ever logistics partner, enter the second year of their partnership with the club and, having seen the benefits of their association, have strengthened their links by taking on the branding of the entire stand.

FCL Global’s managing director Kulbir Sohi said: “We believe in building long-lasting, meaningful and sustainable relationships with both our suppliers and customers, and these relationships are the cornerstones of our success, increasing our exposure at The Hawthorns represents an important part of this.

Albion also announced a new sponsorship deal with Platinum Asian gaming partner 666Bet.

Hull City Announce 12BET as New Shirt Sponsors

12BET, patient the global sports betting brand, for sale have confirmed today their two-year sponsorship of Premier League team, Hull City.

The sponsorship is the largest in the club’s 110-year history and will run until the end of the 2015/2016 season.

The 12BET logo will feature on the front of the club’s shirt as they compete in the Barclays Premier League. The sponsorship also comes as the club embark on their first ever campaign in a European competition; ‘The Tigers’ qualified for this season’s UEFA Europa League after their historic exploits in the FA Cup last season.

The partnership was negotiated by sports marketing agency SportQuake who will also assist in managing and delivering the global sponsorship campaign.
