Volvo Appointed Official Car Supplier to Yamaha Motor Racing

Volvo Car Italia is the new official car supplier to Yamaha Motor Racing in a deal that will see Volvo supply a fleet of vehicles at the Mugello Circuit in Scarperia, Italy.

The deal runs throughout 2013 and in return for the vehicles Volvo will receive paddock hospitality packages at MotoGP races.

Volvo Car Italia’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Director, Sven De Smet, said: “We have been cooperating with Yamaha for many years and this new partnership at the pinnacle of two wheeled motorsport perfectly complements our many sporting engagements, including golf, sailing and soccer, that are part of Volvo’s DNA.”

Lin Jarvis, Yamaha Motor Racing’s Managing Director said that Volvo was ‘a perfect choice’ of partner.
